I met a vibecoder today on Reddit I talked to him for a bit. He is a nurse in a public hospital He was bragging that he vibecoded an app for personal use It turns out he actually did a great job. The app really works and shows that vibecoding is possible. Still the app was easily replicated with Google Sheets or excel. He didn't even need to vibecode an app, pay Vercel for the hosting or have a Supabase for the DB. This is the state of vibecoding This is what you can do if you are not a dev Redundant functionality I guess its ok...ish...

Several reasons, major ones 👇 - overstimulation (constant consumption of social media) - fear of facing a reality different from the one we were sold as children (“if you do exactly this and that, you will be successful”) - less time touching grass and less physical social interaction - living in constant comparison to other people they consider are “doing better” in life - fast pace (trying to attain success and the “dream life” through the fastest route) - lack of care for gut health - lack of physical exercise

4 rounds of interviews. - DSA. - System design. - HR. - Culture fit. Got the offer. Salary was lower than my current job. The interview process is broken and nobody wants to fix it.

@zubbee_tm Nice, I built a students database (name,age and scoremarks per subject) then changed their age and scoremarks using update. It was really fun 😁.

Day 4 of learning How to Code: Today was All About handling CRUD(create,read,update and delete) Operations in Mongodb. It was really fun except from the delete part(which wiped out documents I suffered to create 😭😅). still feels small but am getting the hang, unto Day 5 💪💯.

the fundamentals still matter tho claude can't debug a memory leak or explain why your auth system got owned. it can scaffold fast but doesn't teach you *why* things break that said... yeah the ROI on a $100k CS degree is looking rough when most of what you need is online for free

Genuine question. If Claude can now build production-ready apps in a few hours... Why are 18-year-olds still taking out $100k in student loans for a Computer Science degree? What are we actually learning?
