@NigeriaStories Presidency should tell the market women about this 4.1% growth. Maybe the price of tomatoes will come down.

@channelstv At this rate, every Nigerian is carrying a massive debt burden they didn't sign up for. Transparency is non-negotiable.

Nigeria’s total public debt increased to N159.28 trillion as of December 31, 2025.

@NigeriaStories N10,000 per litre? That’s an extreme exaggeration that misses the point. People are struggling to breathe with the current prices. If the leadership thinks this is a win they really aren't feeling the same Nigeria we are.

No Tax ID, no bank account. No working CCTV, but $460M loan is still being serviced. This govt is forcing the masses to fund a system that only seems to protect the pockets of the elite. We see the pattern clearly.

The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee probing the $460 million Closed Circuit Television surveillance project in the Federal Capital Territory has resolved to notify the Central Bank of Nigeria to suspend further payments to ZTE Corporation pending satisfactory explanations on the execution of the contract.
English

@NigeriaStories So the government is making Tax IDs mandatory for bank accounts in 2026, yet $460M was 'spent' on non-functional CCTV cameras? They are very efficient at collecting from the masses, but silent when it comes to accountability for failed projects. Who is really benefiting?

@NigeriaStories The math isn't mathing. How is domestic supply growing while imports are doubling? It’s clear the cabals are prioritizing their pockets over our national progress. The greed is relentless.

@AfricanHub_ History really has a sense of humor. Hopefully, we take Mahama’s prayer seriously and get our house in order before the table turns any further.

Ghana President John Dramani Mahama said Ghana 🇬🇭 prays every day for Nigeria 🇳🇬 to succeed, noting that instability there could cause migration into neighboring countries.
He referred to Nigerians as “cousins” and emphasized the importance of Nigeria’s stability, stating, “We want Nigeria to do well so that one million of them do not come drifting to a small country like Ghana.
Every day I pray to God, let Nigeria get its act together. If Nigeria does well, Ghana does well.”

English

@NigeriaStories First they frustrate the venue, then the courts stop the process. This isn't law and order; it's a deliberate attempt to 'scatter' the opposition from within. If they are so confident in their performance, why are they so terrified of a simple party convention?
English

@NigeriaStories Stop confusing commitments with actual cash inflow. We’ve seen these MOUs signed before only for them to vanish. Until this reflects in our GDP and job numbers, it’s just another PR strategy to distract us from the current economic hardship.
English

@NigeriaStories The real question is transparency. They say the Nigeria Revenue Service rebranding is for efficiency but if we don't see the infrastructure matching the taxes collected, it's just the same old story in a shiny new building.

@vanguardngrnews Nigeria and Ghana are like siblings that keep swapping who has the remote. We definitely need that 80s energy back but the good version where our economy was the standard.

I pray Nigeria thrives so citizens don’t run to Ghana — Mahama
Ghanaian President John Mahama has said he prays for Nigeria’s success, stressing that the prosperity of Africa’s most populous nation is crucial to stability in the region and would reduce migration pressure on Ghana. vanguardngr.com/2026/04/i-pray…

@drpenking It’s terrifying how basic sterile technique was ignored for content A C-section is major surgery, not a photo . Risking a surgical site infection for views is peak recklessness.
English

It is sad the extent to which human beings can go for social media views and clicks, sometimes outrightly endangering the lives of people they claim they love.
From a medical personnel point of view, Cute Abiola exposed his wife to harm by his presence in the theatre during her Caeserean Section.
He was there without a surgical mask which contravenes everything medicine stands for
Surgical masks in the theatre prevents surgical site infection. The nose and upper respiratory tract contain billions of bacteria like staphylococcus aureus which poses a great risk to the surgical site. Risk of spread is even higher if you are talking during the surgery , as he was in the video. When you see surgeons cover their nose and mouth, they are not doing it for aesthetics . They are doing so to protect the patient. Cute Abiola being in the OR with his wife’s abdomen open and his nose and mouth open, put his wife in harm’s way.
Moreover the position he was staying during the surgery is exclusively the position of an anesthesiologist . The anesthesiologist must stay at the head of the patient throughout the surgery. This ensures that any abnormal lapse in consciousness is spotted immediately and flagged for emergency response. So many things could have gone wrong by him taking over the position of the anesthesiologist just for views, clicks and social media awwww
The surgical team should be arrested.
Cute Abiola himself should be arrested.

@THISDAYLIVE A battle of egos between a desperate perennial candidate and an inactive sitting VP. Same script, different actors. Neither has shown they actually have anything to offer the average Nigerian.

@NigeriaStories I just pray the 'low brain destroyers' don't stand in the way this time. We really need this development to finally happen.

@TrendingEx @VendrNg If the country was truly finished the desperation wouldn't be this high. The fact that the stakes are still lethal suggests there’s still plenty of wealth being moved around just not to the people who need it.

@DailyTimesNGR These 'emergency' meetings are starting to feel like a ritual. How can they have all d intelligence but the bad guys are always a step ahead? 🤨 It’s hard to shake the feeling that the real 'enemy within' is sitting at that same table, sabotaging progress for their own gain.

@NigeriaStories Big win for Abuja, but security is the elephant in the room. You can’t have steady gas delivery without steady security. Hope they’ve factored that into the July launch!

@TrendingEx @CitizenMonitors Vital info is great, but why not share it on the floor of the National Assembly where he has the power to actually do something? Giving 'vital info' at a party rally after defecting feels more like politics than patriotism. We need transparency, not just talk.
English

@TrendingEx @CitizenMonitors He says 'I am a Senator and I am telling you the truth,' but he didn't tell this truth on the floor of the National Assembly when it mattered. Why wait for an ADC congress to drop this? Is this accountability or just 2027 politics starting early? 🧐
