This was called a backcourt violation. The ball never goes backcourt. The offensive player establishes himself in the front court with two feet prior to touching the ball. That’s a bad call.

@1TommEBoi @DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial The rules are similar between NBA, NCAAM, NCAAW and NFHS but not the same. You can’t use an nba rule book to adjudicate a NCAAM play. Look at play 2 at the bottom of page 2.

@1TommEBoi @DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial That’s an nba.com link but if you look at the NCAAM rule book then you will see that it says “a player cannot throw the ball up and be the first to touch it”. This ball was not thrown up. It is unequivocally a dribble by rule and not a pass

They are defined in the rule book and if a player does nothing that qualifies as double dribbling or traveling per their definitions then it can’t be double dribble or traveling

@1TommEBoi @DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial He pushed the ball towards the floor which is a dribble. No where in the rule book does it say you can’t go backwards after dribbling the ball. No such violation as pass to self in the rule book. Just because it looks ugly doesn’t make it a violation.

@cchoka @mitchgoldich It was smart to keep the throw-ins in the backcourt. A front court throw in with a few seconds left and fouls to give has the possibility of a shooting foul so non-shooting fouls are hard at that point.

Kansas deserved to lose on a buzzer beater after taking four intentional fouls in the final 13 seconds of a tie game. There, I said it.

@DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial You can also save the ball from going out of bounds and be the first one to touch it if your momentum takes you out of bounds and you re-establish back in bounds. Why do you pretend to know the rules when you haven’t read a rule book?

@BadCallOfficial You have never been able to save the ball and be the first person to touch it. Once you cross half court, it essentially becomes a fourth out-of-bounds line and the rules still apply.

After getting treated to Vanderbilt-Nebraska last night, we were due for a slugfest. This has been a brutal watch to be honest. I suppose you could say good defense but this is a pretty ugly game to watch

@BleedBNetwork @wufyfab Either team can call a timeout while the ball is considered dead. The ball becomes live after a made basket when the ball is at the disposal of the player throwing the ball in. It has nothing to do with once UK has the ball. You have to use the words in the rulebook

@kminnicksports Everyone did that moaning and complaining but now Rutgers Prep the #1 seed has to drive 1 hour and 20 mins to Lenape. Smh they should of just left it the way it was. It's unfortunate but should not been changed a couple days before.

Part 1: This map should help illustrate why picking neutral sites in South Jersey Non-Public A is a difficult task. Used the boys for the example. The green are schools classified in North while the Red are schools classified in South.

@Coach_Daaiyah7 NJ needs to abandon the north and south non public a and b sections. Just do it like the public schools and have a south, central and 2 north jersey sections. No need for an a and b for non public

The way I’m about to crash out at the NJSIAA is insane. They really moved our game to Lenape thus having the 1 seed travel over an hour(which we do either way) to play the 2 seed who only is 30 minutes away from Lenape is blasphemy. This is ridiculous.
