@bertcmiller Is this more of a “tech lead” role more than a snr software engineer role? The JD suggests so.

serious question for security folks: apart from hardware wallets: what do you use for seed phrase storage. For last 5 years or so, I have maintained a small notebook with all seedphrases in it as it gets bigger, it's a time consuming task any thoughts on 1password or similar?

@0xdoug You don’t need Lazarus for that.

Hypothetical scenario… We trust the orgs running the major L2s, but what if Lazarus compromised a sequencer? The sequencer can’t steal your funds, but it can arbitrarily re-arrange or remove txns between state commitments. Potentially billions of MEV in those windows?

Break out of that loop once in a while, hit the road, let new inputs flow in and rewrite your perspective. I didn’t realize how alive i could feel until i hit the road. Don’t let stagnation be the default state, in life, in career in everything. Embrace uncertainty.

@vivekbrijgupta Question: Depending on ethereum’s block time is a huugee negative right? The main reason Rollups today are winning is their fast transaction confirmation times which is huuge for UX. What are we solving here? Only the gas fee problem?

rollups started as a band-aid fix to ethereum’s scaling problem. but now, they’re evolving into something more—scaling solutions that preserve decentralization, security, and economic sustainability. one of the most promising? based rollups. instead of relying on centralized sequencers (single points of failure, censorship risks, and mev monopolies), based rollups let ethereum validators handle transaction sequencing. this shifts power away from private actors and reinforces ethereum’s security model. how it works: - based rollups let l1 proposers order transactions directly - l2 users pay a base fee, and validators capture the priority fee - no extra consensus layer, no third-party sequencers. - settlement and data availability are baked into ethereum why it matters: - inherits ethereum’s censorship resistance & security eliminates single points of failure (no centralized sequencers) - mev gets redistributed instead of being monopolized - potentially cheaper tx fees by removing extra sequencing overhead - seamless integration with l1—direct settlement on ethereum trade-offs: - depends on ethereum’s block times (12s confirmations) - l1 validators still influence transaction ordering (mev isn’t gone) - customization for specific use cases is limited but based rollups address the “l2s are parasitic” argument very well. instead of sucking value away from ethereum, they send fees back to the l1. booster rollups, gigagas rollups, and native rollups are next. but based rollups? they’re making a strong case for the future of ethereum scaling right now.

@lakancrypto @fede_intern Where can i read about this? Why is a multisig needed? Isn’t only a sequencer thats needed?

@fede_intern i think i understand what you're getting at so basically the idea is to use zk rollups to verify l2 transactions on the l1 without needing a multisig or additional infrastructure how does this impact the overall scalability of eth though

So for rollups in general there is no protocol level incentives to run a validator?? So basically a rollup is just the centralised sequencer and thats it?

@gakonst What does closed source even mean? Isn’t the bytecode public anyways? Or is it just that the actual program code in rust is closed source?

Along with the fractional CTO position at Shardeum, Im also acting as head of partnerships at Huddle01. I was responsible for onboarding Zoom to use dRTC instead of AWS. I will take both companies to new heights.

@anothercohen It’s probably a very first world solution. But the idea of having a place of your own, a place to go back to even when life throws absolute shit at you provides a sense of security.

I'm coming around to the idea that renting is a better financial decision than buying. Exceptions being if you plan to actually stay in a home for 15+ years or you're buying ultra high end

@0xdevian @pushprotocol Yes, the network is permissionless. The only thing you need to do is to stake enough PUSH tokens. The incentive would be in PUSH tokens.
