Spoke to an RN that approves VA disability. She says she thinks that 80% of it is fake. Veterans can come in and say they have tension headache or their back hurts, and are coached by attorneys, and they get up to 100% disability, including not paying property tax and getting $4-5k/month from the government — when in reality they’re completely fine. In fact, the RNs are paid an incentive via quotas to diagnose veterans with a disability and paid less if they don’t. I’m not saying there aren’t people who legitimately don’t have disabilities from serving our country, but folks who have never seen combat and are literally sitting at desks are getting 100% disability. It’s pretty insane. Does that make you mad? What if you could get the same disability working for a company?

While true the core issue is you have to lay wire underground and re-wire as tech advances. While starlink needs to upgrade or launch satellites one upgrade can upgrade all his customers. A wire upgrade impacts only those who get new wires. So that 500MB speed AT&T fiber gives me will be surpassed by starlinks next version they are now launching

@AstroZen34 @StonksReddit I have nothing at all against Starlink and think it's a great system, but, as an engineer who designs radio equipment, I can assure you that radio-based communications, especially space-based ones, will not ever "catch up" to hard fiber where the latter is feasible.

If you read the shingles package, it literally tells you how to install the underlayment & shingles on a roof. Nothing more motivating than saving a LARGE amount of money. @CaryKelly11 @hereisaquarter It’s all supply and demand. Our cattle supply is way down for many reasons mostly related to govt intervention (climate change) making cattle farmers reduce herds thus less cattle. This started under Obama and was turned up to 10 under Biden.
