9 hours to see a doctor, 30 hours on a corridor. Acutely confused, dysphagia, elevated WCC. Triaged by a nurse and initially offered oral paracetamol 🤷 Later required MRI, but not available at the weekend. Patient died aged 66! Hey @wesstreeting, much better under your watch!!

A member of the public called 999 on 1 March. He could see with his own eyes that the building on King Street was not safe. A council surveyor attended the same site, looked at the same cracked brickwork, and decided it was not in immediate danger. Twenty-three days later it collapsed. Five people were injured. Forty spent the night without a home. The local college is just yards away. It is a miracle that no one died. The owner is Councillor Kamran Ghafoor, a serving Oldham Council member with a 2012 conviction for renting out an uninhabitable property. Last year the council evacuated eight children from another property he owned on the same street. A cabinet member called him a criminal rogue landlord at a council meeting in May 2025. When I wrote to the council's chief executive asking questions about what happened, my email was blocked.
