Feeling bothered by comments I saw from one of those Theobro-ragebait pastors and look, if you're complementarian and think women shouldn't be ordained, that's fine. But if you think women are less intelligent or have less of the Holy Spirit, YOU shouldn't be ordained either.

@lukeappleton Mostly because of the age of the universe. But also because the word “days” is used with 4 different meanings in the passage. This led me to realize that we are commanded to “Keep holy the Sabbath.” I.e. God knew we needed a day of rest every 6 days.

I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY a creationist. Some guy in his 40s wants to tell me the world is millions of years old. Well I guess he can confirm it's more than 40 years old. But beyond that, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

@ContraryChristn @AlaskanKate I think that many women seek authority out of fear. They don't think they can trust the men around them to use it wisely, and so they try to get it for themselves. A woman won't generally follow someone she can't trust, after all.

The various explosions of life followed by massive extinctions, followed by an explosion of the next higher order of life. There is no biological mechanism for this to happen naturally.

Unbelievable numbers of fossils from specific strata of rock, available to researchers to independently study and verify, and more and more genetic data that also heavily and independently supports the fossil record.

I’m not talking about burkas and blaming women for our inability to control ourselves as muslims do, just consider our struggles.

My daughter and I were talking about the topic of clothing choices today, and I was explaining to her the role that propriety should play in how we dress. It's not just modesty that we should consider; we should also put thought into wearing clothing that fits the setting or occasion. Pajamas are for sleeping, not grocery shopping. Athletic clothing is great for exercise and sports, not so great for important events like church services or job interviews. Saying things like that tends to make people mad today, but why? Whether we're willing to acknowledge it or not, I think we all instinctively know that clothing communicates something about how we view ourselves, the people around us, and the events we're involved in. We might as well consider what message we're sending.

Don’t assume someone is Christian just because they mention “God.” Which “God” are they referring to? Which “God” do they actually serve? Make sure you hear the name Jesus. Jesus Christ is Lord. ✝️

Same applies to Jesus. A Christian must believe that Jesus is eternally pre-existent God. Part of the triunity of One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That separates the biblical Jesus from the cults and heretical beliefs about Jesus. I have heard too many people embrace a “Jesus as Lord” who is less than the eternally triune God in the flesh Jesus.
