Most high handicap amateurs like this make the mistake of trying to be too technical in their putting stroke. What I like to recommend to people just taking up the game is to learn how to get the ball to roll end over end. Same advice I’d give to this beginner. It’s a fickle game, but when using silly gadgets without a proper knowledge base, you can end up convincing yourself that your bad putting stroke is actually good.
