@FraserNelson Have you appealed to the Independent Complaints Reviewer? If the IRC upholds the Complaints Committee decision, you can apply for judicial review.
If someone regards a trans woman as "a man who claims to be a woman" should they be allowed to say so?
As editor of The Spectator, I published Gareth Roberts making this point. IPSO, the press regulator, has censured The Spectator for doing so.
Its ruling is outrageous and Michael Gove's defence of Roberts underlines that the magazine will not be cowed under his editorship.

@MrJamesMay I’m no expert either, but I imagine because the value of the land is not necessarily pegged to the enterprise value of the farming business, e.g. because it could be turned into 400 executive homes, or a wind farm, or a vineyard…
I’m trying to follow the great farming debate but, as an economics illiterate, I’m baffled. If a farm has a nominal value of, say, £3m but generates an income of only c. £40k, how can it really be worth that much?
This is not, bt dubs, a loaded question. I’m interested.
@FraserNelson You will be sorely missed as editor. I’ve been reading the Speccie for a number of decades and the last 15 years have definitely been the best. I trust Michael Gove will be refreshing his familiarity with J S Mill’s essays before he assumes the editor’s chair.
Delighted that Michael Gove will be the next editor of The Spectator and Charles Moore its next chairman.
After Sir Paul Marshall’s historic £100 million deal, the leadership is in place for a new chapter. spectator.co.uk/article/michae…
What are we thinking of the Paris opening ceremony so far? Harder in the ran for sure. Which is a real shame. More spectators I guess can watch. London still the best I’ve seen thou ..
@TLRailUK If #Thameslink continues to decline to check tickets in First Class, those who pay extra for a seat and table will continue to be displaced by those who feel entitled to take up First Class seats without paying #FaresFair
@WSHighways It’s not quite “all routes” though, is it? This is what Cob Lane, Ardingly has looked like for the last four mornings - and lethal again this morning @BBCSussex
Winter decision, full grit all routes at 14.00 and second run early part of evening/night. Please drive carefully to weather conditions, allow extra journey time. #winterready#grittertwitter for more info see link: westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-trav…
@TfL #SantanderCycles Something seems to have gone wrong with the logistics? This is the second week no docking stations over a wide area are being emptied.

How well is the BBC controlling the narrative surrounding allegations of one of their presenters paying for explicit images?
