Justice Alito brings in a key point… You can’t establish a legal permanent domicile somewhere you are illegally present and subject to removal at any time.

American forces didn't help British troops in the Falkland Isles, Northern Ireland or Sierra Leone. British forces didn't support the USA in the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia or Loas. Neither country has any divine right to expect support from the other. Trump is off his rocker.

@LeclairLar @Tourosenta14746 @HibaNasr No they have not. Has Iran attacked American, British, and French during b that time? Yes. Would you Complain if the US did invoke article 5 referencing these attacks? Probably.

@FreeVoiceOG @Tourosenta14746 @HibaNasr Has the US requested NATO to invoke Article 5 based on this 45 year record of attacks? The only time they requested Artical 5 was in 2001 and every NATO nation sent blood and treasure in response, fighting side by side with the US in Afghanistan and Iraq.

‼️Rubio : Unfortunately, after this conflict is concluded, we're going to have to re examine that relationship. We're going to have to re examine the value of NATO & that alliance for our country. Ultimately, that's a decision for the President to make, and he'll have to make it.

@WodenWanderer @plzbepatient No, they wrote it in as a congressional function, not an unelected judicial function. No kings, even if they are called 'judges. '

@plzbepatient Note to future authors. The current method of Congress removing retarded people prevents a judicial dictatorship, and makes it a state (senate) and citizen(reps) responsibility.

@YourAnonCentral Then why is Europe not aligning with American interests to stop this from happening? This is a Europe problem.

The US leaving NATO is an Israeli and Russian goal, it weakens Europe’s defense against Russia and opens up Turkey to be attacked by Israel and the US.

@CountryFirstRep How so? Barry paid the bribe that allowed nukes in 15 years after the deal. Bush waged 5 trillion dollar 10 year long wars. Clinton killed over 500,000 with economic warfare with no result. This is way more effective.

Mail-in ballots are definitionally less secure than any other type of balloting. It’s called chain-of-custody…it’s not new…it’s a fact…it’s not an opinion…

What's even more interesting is how far off Europe's interests are from American interests. It's almost as if Europe thinks America is a colony like Canada and not a global superpower with interests that change over time, but Europe is still thinking that America's interests must always be what Europe says they are. Our interests sometimes align with Russia, sometimes with China... despite being adversarial peers. It's a simple idea, not one born from centuries old dogmas and rigid institutional structures. It's one of the things that has made America so great. The ability to break from static 'norms,' understanding that there is no Final utopia, and that what works today may not... and probably will not... work tomorrow.

I don’t necessarily think Trump is a literal Russian agent, but it interesting how many of his natural and most strongly held impulses just happen to align with Russian interests, often at the expense of American interests.

@bonchieredstate You are hopeless. It was a symbiose. It worked in both ways. European money is in your shares and bonds. We bought your waepons and movies and services. BTW: We payed for your bases.

This isn't complicated. Alliances don't exist by some religious rite. We do not need a defensive alliance with France or Spain. They offer nothing of value to us in that respect. The value is in base usage and the ability for the US to project power around the world in exchange for defending Europe. If NATO devolves into the Euro members not even letting the US use their bases or airspace, then it offers little to no value for America. You may believe we owe it to Europe to spend trillions of dollars protecting them no matter what. But we don't. And if they want to play this game, then they will suffer the consequences. No amount of yelling "retarded" is going to change that.
DestructiveChemistry@DesperateChem

@bonchieredstate How retarded are you? Seriously. It's a defensive alliance, my guy, under no obligation to get involved in a war our idiot president starts without telling them first.

@bonchieredstate Alliances and collective security (especially w/expanded ones like NATO) are counterproductive. Bilateral agreements are much more preferable.

Pax Americana is over. The consequence of Trump 2 will be the divorce of the US from its traditional allies in Europe, Asia and Australasia. Oh and Canada too. A different era is upon us, where America will be primarily preoccupied with Western hemisphere considerations.
