@DanKnightMMA @lamphieryeg I’m beginning to think that this Carney fellow, views the media and Canadians as trivial, and low value obstacles to achieving his vision. Disdain and contempt are also words that jump to mind.

You have to take ownership of mistakes. I got creamed on $GSY.TO Currently it's the largest loss I've had as an investor, and I've learned a ton of valuable lessons. It's definitely a setback, though. The one thing that controlled this from being a truly terrible loss was me trimming in the 180s on the way up, and not adding aggressively on the way back down. But that doesn't make up for it. It's time to learn, refocus, and move on.

#WBOps Parking reservations are required today for Upper Lot 6 & 7 and for Creekside P1 & P2. Upper lot 8 is at 5% capacity. Plenty of parking available still in all day lots and in Creekside P3 & P4.

@Ryley__Delaney Blame Varsho for going 0-9. A black hole in offense. Or Gimenez “but his batting average with RISP is good!”

Blaming Ernie Clement for the Jays' World Series loss is wild.
Canada Proud@CanadianDivide3

@Ryley__Delaney Like the Ernie Clement who went 0 for 6 from the ninth inning on in the World Series, when half the time the winning or tying run was in scoring position and he swung in five first pitches where four of them were out of the zone? He can be a utility guy

I'd love for the Blue Jays to sign Munetaka Murakami and re-sign Bo Bichette, but I'm not sure what would happen with Ernie in that scenario.

@wolf_lair_ca @Sid_Seixeiro Not his finest hour, but you can’t dismiss all the huge hits and defensive plays he made to help get them to that point, including the huge tide-turning HR in game 1 off Snell, his HRs vs NY, his grand slam against Boston, etc. I’ll take Varsho on my team any day of the week.

Watching back portions of Game 7 because I haven’t quite processed how it played out. This scorebug is haunting.

When does reconciliation stop being reconciliation — and start being something that threatens provincial and national sovereignty? As written in the @nationalpost: "Land seizure is a real risk: in New Brunswick, where the entire province is subject to First Nations claims, a judge suggested that courts could order the Crown to seize private property on behalf of an Indigenous group and compensate the landowners in turn. Quebecers should be worried too, as the Algonquin have just filed a title claim to large swaths of the province. There’s just no end to it. B.C. has ceded provincial parks to its Indigenous people, who block members of the general public from entry on the basis of colonialism. B.C. has renamed its schools to words no one can read, as it’s done with some streets. It’s cemented Indigenous input into education, lawyer regulation and even mining claims. That wasn’t enough. It’s the same all across Canada."
Caroline Elliott@NVanCaroline

A scathing editorial from the @nationalpost on Canada’s deeply flawed reconciliation approach: “Billions of dollars in settlement money. Land acknowledgements prayed before any government event. Exclusive access to once-public parks. Soon, perhaps, the court-ordered handover of private property. That’s been the government recipe for reconciliation for the past 10 years, and it’s been nothing but a disaster.” nationalpost.com/opinion/np-vie…

@bnicholsonsmith Obviously no body should ever threaten a player. This isn't life or death. With that in mind, that answer is BS from IKF. You can stay close and still have a secondary. You also could have slide headfirst or ran through home.

After Game 7, Isiah Kiner-Falefa had people blaming him for the Blue Jays’ loss & threatening to break his legs. He wanted to share his thoughts on why he didn’t have a bigger lead at third base before attempting to score.

@JoshuaHowsam If Varsho batted lower in the order and Clement moved up, would’ve won in the 9th. Clements hit, if there was only 1 out, would’ve resulted in the winning run.

@JeffPassan Let's not pretend that Ernie Clement's true talent level is anywhere near this. He's almost 30 years old and his career season was a triple slash of .277/.313/.398 for a 95 OPS+. He and Barger went OFF, but they still couldn't beat a wildly underachieving Dodger squad.

If you want to understand the depth of the Blue Jays' lineup and why they've scored the most runs of any team in playoff history, this is as telling a fact as you'll find: Ernie Clement, who just set an MLB record for hits in a single postseason with 30, bats eighth for Toronto.
