So myself and the financial team behind Forbidden are starting a new project and subsidiary business to bring a new tournament platform that revolves more around a WSOW format of events. I’m looking for feedback to see if this project would be worth doing before investing heavily in to it. So the concept is as follows: Competitors would be split in to categories: Advanced (Pro / Semi pro) Top 150 based on last years WSOW event. Amateur: Open Circuit These categories will be split in to season with a season championship event at the end of each season with a guaranteed starting pot and increased based on participation that teams qualify for based on accumulated weekly circuit points. (Thinking 5 weeks with championship event in week 6) Weekly Events Format: TKR (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) Best 3 Games submitted from each day = Total score. Can be played between 12pm & 10pm local time. Customs: Qualifier (Friday) The top 60 teams from each TKR event will be split in to groups of 30 and play top secure a Top 15 spot to qualify for final weekly customs round. Games in qualifier stage will be 6 games, all games count. Customs: Weekly Final (Sunday) The final 30 teams for that week will play in a 7 games - all games count finals to be crowned weekly champions. By doing this it allows different teams the ability to progress and develop themselves while pushing Pro’s to be even better and continue their progression. As some teams may not qualify for the customs. Championship Event (End of Season) The Top 32 teams based on accumulated points throughout the season will then play for the Championship Event Trophy and Prize Pool in an all games count 8 match customs. — Progressive Championship Prize Pool Each weekly event will have a low entry fee. With 20% of each event being taken and added to the championship prize pot and the remaining 80% being paid out to the top 3 only from each event. Circuit Points: Circuit points will be awarded to every team who competes with those who place better in each event getting higher points and then scaled down on placement. Promotion / Relegation: At the end of each season, the top 32 Open / Amateur teams will be promoted in to the pro circuit and the bottom 32 Pro teams will be relegated / demoted in to the Open Circuit. Entry Fees: TKR: $10 per player Customs Qualifier: $12.50 per player Customs Final: $15 per player If a TKR team that has qualified can’t make the weekly qualifier customs the spot will be automatically awarded to the next TKR team and so on. Please provide feedback on this idea. Open to all criticism and questions also.
