@stanfordkp I think selling low and value is independent of whether I'd be willing to move him for the right price. I wouldn't just want to give him away, but in the right deal he's not immovable to me even if I don't want to trade him necessarily.

Personally, I am amenable to moving just about anyone on this roster. In principal I'd be least open to moving Amen just given performance + age + upside. But I honestly don't see anyone else as categorically untouchable and it would depend on what's available.

@HorryForThree Stone has done a pretty good job drafting. Of course, it’s a small sample size but Sengun was a great pick. Tari until this god awful slump was also a good pick. Adams and KD were very good trades. Dillon and FVV were good FA signings. I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree

A lot of dialogue on Ime needing an offensive assistant, but I wonder if Stone needs a player eval assistant. He's clearly very good at the business & contract side. But when it comes to player evaluation, drafting & working the margins, it seems like a weak spot for him

A player I hope HOU pursues in the offseason as a FA is Collin Sexton. He's a perfect sixth man PG, score first and capable ball handler under pressure.

the price that comes with that. Missing on so many picks has really hurt the rebuild, and the inability to round this roster out with decent wings and shooting is something we haven't managed since Morey left.

My preference for this roster in the offseason is a 'soft' reset to get younger. We started a rebuild, acquired a few vets as 'fit' players to help with the next stage who did well (Dillon, FVV) but coupled that with over indexing on vets as a cheap accelerant and are now paying

I like 2 the most out of the bunch. The thing I'd like to see incorporated is 1) punishing extended, intentional non-competitiveness (fielding teams that have 15+ game losing streaks), 2) No repeat in the top-4 if you had #1 the yr before.

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.

I would love to see HOU trade into this draft's first round (late FRPs are usually not impossible to acquire) if they can. Over the past few years, the roster has gotten a lot older, and this squad needs quality, talented youth, not just injury prone vets.

In saying this, the aggregate numbers can look similar at first blush. Still scoring 24ppg, but the efficiency drop and advanced stats show a guy who presses, stays in scoring mode instead of shifting into a facilitator situationally, and isn't effective as a primary ballhandler

He's an average facilitator, but that skill drops vs the best. vs BOS: 2 AST, vs MIN: 3 AST, vs LAC: 3 AST, vs DEN (loss): 1 AST.

Does KD struggle against the best? I ran the numbers, here's what stands out: against the top teams this season, the biggest drop is seen in his shooting efficiency. goes from ~58% eFG to ~51% eFG. His 3pt shooting drops from 41% to ~33%.
