My Dad fought in Korea. Never associated his to deserving a "disability" benefit; plus he didn't want that stigma attached to his well being. He used his Union medical as 1st position and his VA as secondary. He NEVER got a VA loan, but rather a conventional loan. Never went to school on VA money. He also said they fought for nothing. Actual boots on ground through swamps and horrific scenes.
