I’m a big space nerd. I think about it every day. I don’t get Mars colonization. Settling Mars seems like being exiled to the worst prison imaginable. You’d be physically unable to leave a facility some guy controls every aspect of and unimaginably far from freedom to move.

Stay at a place long enough and you see a lot of people leave, sadly. But a U-T without Karla Peterson is something I have a hard time imagining. The high quality of her writing was surpassed only by her quality as a person. Every newsroom should have a Karla, who I'll miss.
