@PhysInHistory So long as you dont confuse the mythology of religion with the science of reality. There is no conflict.
In the same way, the magic of Harry Potter is also no in conflict with science.

@EduardoYukio_ @MudkipNerd_ If 2ab=0 then at least one a and b is 0.
So you're dealing with a line or a point in which a+b=c. Not normally considered a triangle.

Odeio esse meme. Pitágoras não garante que a hipotenusa é menor que a soma dos catetos.

@_TightWadBill Don't speak so soon. Mathematically they could finish above West Ham. West Ham lose their remaining matches by at least 1 goal and Wolves win them all by an average of 3 goals.

@Neosocratas @DeeWaynee94 No I don't. There's no external corroboration for the supernatural events of The Bible and all the fact-based evidence we have tells us with certainty at least most of them are mythological stories. We absolutely must not say they they're objective historical accounts.
English

@Persixty @DeeWaynee94 You confuse the Biblical record with mythology.
English

@Neosocratas @DeeWaynee94 No such logic exists unless you embed it in your premises.
They're only based on objective historic fact if you confuse mythology with reality.
If you do that Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs establish Anubis as objective historical fact.
English

The God of the Bible requires a different set of data. We can establish that only one God exist by logic. Who that God is can only be revealed historically. Judaism and Christianity are based from objective historic facts, they did not "pop out" fully formed from a single source as Buddhism, Confucianism, and Islam.
"1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life. 2 And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us." 1 John

@Neosocratas @DeeWaynee94 We don't know so God must exist to be answer is a common but utterly flawed argument. Then assuming that it must be the specific God you believe in is doubling the flaw.
English

@DeeWaynee94 What happens when belief in God is the logical conclusion to scientific and historic evidence?

English

@southside_mafs It's called Apophenia. The tendency so perceive connections between unrelated things.
Pareidolia is a form it. The most common is to see faces in things. We all do it but sometimes people take it far too seriously.

Laminin, the molecule that holds the human body together, is shaped like a cross. God’s design is intentional.
English

@DeeWaynee94 Peer review by people clearly unable to distinguish between mythology and reality.
English

🤣 “The Bible is peer reviewed” is such a funny line.
Studied by scholars is not the same as peer reviewed, and peer reviewed is not the same as true.
People analyse Homer too. That doesn’t make Zeus real.
Jarary2@jarary1
@DeeWaynee94 @darwintojesus The fact you dont know the Bible is the most peer reviewed book in existence is insane.
English

@Ernest1588761 Because when Christianity showed up people were already eating pigs and were unwilling to stop because bacon.
To force people is to say because they believe some made-up nonsense they have to believe more.

@LloydGeorge57 Psalm 55:22 Castor your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

@Steve_in_gear @ick_real You are 100% wrong. I'd watch the hell out of that.

@bull_feath95552 @AwesomEmergency His humour seems to end at The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
English

@AwesomEmergency One of the best things about George Lucas is that he doesn’t take StarWars too seriously. He’s passionate about it, that’s obvious, but it’s totally cool with it being parodied. He even voiced himself for a robot chicken special.

@haveigotnews When did Keir Starmer join the Labour Party or start taking an interest in current affairs? How did he not know Mandy was dodge?

@BrockRiddickIFB Please confirm this is engagement farming clickbait.
English

@burny_tech Nobody knows.
Mythology provides explanations but they have no rational basis in fact.

@MissAlly_01 I assume the TARDIS has a pretty massive stockpile of toilet paper.
English

@BibleMilitant @Maximumatheist Thinking quoting The Bible proves anything is a cringeworthy embarrassment.
