Pennsylvania is about to defund its own volunteer fire departments and the bill that does it is SB 756. Not a dramatic announcement. A quiet tax bill drafted by casino lobbyists and passed by legislators who took their money. SB 756 strips the supplemental income keeping those stations alive and hands the market back to casinos who couldn’t compete for it honestly.
