@PeterP_1985 The ps5pro have zen2 cpu from 2019, 5000 series card is next gen compared to console. Stop bringing wrong information, other people could believe it soon since so many say ps5pro is like a 2-3x more expensive pc lol. High end pc is much sharper and better in any way visual vise.

Need a 50 series and up to match the PS5 Pro.... Heard it all now!!

@Vpnninja87 @JWick52420 @kanden95 @videotechuk_ True, the noise and shimmer is better, but people that saying its day and night or like native 4k is not right, not forget youtube compression so in real it’s even bigger difference between them. Texture on pc version is also ultra. Not saying the pssr update was bad.

@JWick52420 @kanden95 @videotechuk_ See how the PSSR 2.0 the bricks look blurry, the poles on the fire escape are also very blurry. PSSR 2.0 is an improvement but its not where near native 4k.

PSSR 2.0 is the real deal and I've tested extensively all day. The nasty grain and unstable anti-aliasing is fixed. It looks like native 4K! Here's a direct comparison with Assassin's Creed Mirage:

@SynthPotato Maby it can make rdr1 to look like rdr3, old title could be perfect, but making grace more perfect im not sure why lol

NVIDIA just announced DLSS 5, which seems to generate AI images on top of upscaling, rather than just upscale what is already there as per all previous DLSS versions and this looks... not good. It is heavily leaning into AI slop, Grace looks like a completely different person.

@rockstationonx @kiwitalkz You would be surprised, huge difference vs the ps4 edition that is still not upgraded. On pc no more waiting for enhanched titles. What monitor/tv are you going to use? Remember rdr2 looked better when i upgraded the tv to oled that time, but one thing at time :)

The fact that the devs wont show Base PS5 and Series S/X footage of this game gives me serious red flags.

@rockstationonx @kiwitalkz Good choice. Ps5 start to show it’s age, one cant expect good performance on it anymore, the pro little better but still same processor from 2019, ps6 would be a good upgrade.

@digitalfoundry Great review, im not sure, you think the popin and other noise will be gone with pssr2? Im sceptical, and i wonder why they didnt made sure to send pssr2 version, looks great but had fps dips and picture look a bit soft. How much better will this be on a strong pc?

@nyc_prophet @GermanStrands True, it cant compete with a strong PC. There’s more blur and less detail/RT, but that’s expected with much weaker hardware. The worst part is still no PC release for the games we’ve been waiting for from Sony studios. Forced to play in lower resolution on their settings.

@carygolomb Looking very good. The upscaling comparison on YouTube made people think PSSR is better than FSR 4, but they didn’t consider that FSR 4 was running in Performance mode just to be more comparable to PSSR.

Goodness Gracious! Resident Evil Requiem is beautiful. This is maxed settings, FSR4 quality on a 9070XT

@Jackgamer74 Would like to know how much more visual 9070xt pc give for 2.5 more money after pssr2.0 came out. Crimson desert would be a better comparion to test pssr against fsr and dlss. I can only afford one platform and was a bit curious. Playing on a 77" make everything more noticable

Yes, we have to see it for ourselves. I usually can spot the differences, but there is just so much other noise in this game from the ray tracing and blur from post processing effects. So I have a hard time seeing the differences. I need to compare in other games that are better suited for this.

1) PSSR 2.0 2) FSR 4.0 3) DLSS 4.0 All have turned on depth of field, chromatic aberration etc., to give a level playing field for PSSR 2.0. These effects can’t be turned off on PS5 Pro and they ruin detail. 1080p on PSSR and FSR but 1296p on DLSS. This is a dark game with a lot of noise in the ray tracing and we have all these post processing effects. I also don’t know how much sharpening is used, if any. The game looks a bit soft or blurry to me on all upscalers compared to what I see in other games. So Requiem is not a good game to evaluate upscaling quality. Differences can be hidden in the above mentioned effects and noise. That being said, PSSR 2.0 looks great. The opening scene of the game looks amazingly detailed. And looking at the pictures, I don’t really see a difference. But I see minor differences in person. PSSR 2.0 has passed the good enough test for now👍 I need to see more games to say more.

@Jackgamer74 Cant notice much difference between 4k fsr quality or performance, i mean to see how it looks like on a pspro, must be the game like you mention since in other titles it’s more pixelated in performance mode. Would like to know how close pspro is the 9070xt/5070ti this days :)

@Boubi6854956162 @Dee_Batch @RGamerB_ Yes and pro seems to use performance mode, pc can use the same mode and reach more fps or go up to quality mode and get sharper with less upscaling typical 67% native, not forget the higher settings pc run. But it was a massive upgrade!

THOUGHT PSSR was trash 😂 I said ML only gets better. Y'all laughed at me. I said FSR4 improvements coming to PSSR. You all laughed, said fSR4 can't go on PS5 Pro its not RDNA 4. Now who's laughing? 😂 The update is here, and it's better than PC's FSR4 and competes with dlss 4.5
