Our emergency response teams are continuing to support communities affected by the aftermath of #StormHenk, with flood alerts issued across England. Here's a summary of our response so far. ⬇

We wanted to share an update on how we’re working to help hostages in Gaza, as we’ve had many questions around this. Our hearts go out to people who lost family members on 7 October, or who are worried about loved ones taken hostage. ⁣

The community wellbeing walks are a great example of youth work in every space and place, tying in with Youth Work Week next week.

Our Youth Engagement team, partnered with Thames Life Development Trust, to run a community wellbeing walk in Barking for young people. The aim of which was to reduce loneliness, build community connectivity and their resilience whilst being out in nature.

Last week, our Chief Executive, @MichaelAdamson5 visited Gazientep in southern Türkiye (Turkey), where many people have been left homeless due to the earthquakes. The Turkish @RedCrescent has set up psychosocial tents supporting children through trauma and grief. ⬇

@Kizilay Turkish Red Crescent have more than 150 kitchens across the affected area. This one will provide a hot meal to more than 70000 people today who are living in tents like these until alternative shelter can be found. @BritishRedCross @richarddblewitt 1/2
