Oh yes. I am well known for my enthusiasm for aristocratic toffs.
Matty Smithy♿️🇬🇧🇪🇺@Matt247821

@afneil So you would want a aristocratic toff who would give free money to the billionaires whilst millions of working class and vulnerable people struggle to keep the lights on with hyperinflated energy bills? I would have thought you lot learnt Austerity kills by now.

@RetroRobson @We_OwnIt @juliewassmer its not complex at all. the nationalised ones suffer from deliberate under investment, because the Government knows that if those are seen to be doing well, the argument for keeping the others privatised would be (even more) indefensible.

If the water companies can't survive without dumping sewage in our rivers and seas, LET THEM GO BANKRUPT. Then nationalise them for nothing. Thank you, Boycott Water Bills and @juliewassmer for inviting us.

@PeterStefanovi2 @SteveReedMP A stable economy?!🤦‍♂️ Labour lies are just beyond belief. Do they really think that they can gaslight or ignore the public at large in the same way that Starmer does at PMQs to MPs?

Publishing disinformation like this should be punishable. Besides cooking the books by only mentioning income tax yield, about half of that £333bn figure are pensions with the second biggest bloc being in-work benefits. Is it any wonder this country is going mental?
Matthew Elliott@matthew_elliott

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

@PaulEmbery @Shayna620 It's not just a political opponent. There are very few people whose death I would celebrate I know personally. Maybe 3 or 4 people. But they are there.

@Shayna620 "Refreshing"? A US president publicly jubilating at the death of a political opponent and saying "I'm glad he is dead." I wonder if you people ever stop to think about what it is you are defending.

This was Trump's immediate response today after learning that a former director of the FBI had died. It seems there is no depth to which this depraved man will not sink.

@AlbertoBaIsam @We_OwnIt @juliewassmer The nationalised ones (Wales and Scotland) have the same problems, so it's more complex than that. But I do agree it should not have been privatised, it is not competitive. I have a choice of Anglian Water or Anglian Water.

@laurasportals @pvicvah @sappholives83 They probably do overall as an average, yes, almost certainly. However, this tells us nothing about individuals. People have a relationship with *one person* not an "average woman". Some have a "body count" of 1, (or 0). Some in the hundreds. Irrespective of gender.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that any man who is this fixated on a woman’s sexual history will be a possessive, controlling, abusive asshole. Men like this don’t want a partner. They want a blank slate.

"If we stiff all the investors then we can have it for free!" Wholly true, but if you stiff the investors then the other name for that is theft. Which is, you know, against the law? Even, against international law.

The government claims that nationalising water would cost >£100 billion. That figure has been repeatedly dubunked - by Professor Dieter Helm, & Professor Ewan McGaughey at the People's Commission for Water, among others. Water belongs in public hands. vist.ly/4vetf
