@nickchapsas Building on C# scripts, the compiler is happy with the first line being a shebang. You can add one and make your scripts executable.
I have the absolute path to the 11p3 dotnet binary, but if it was on your path "#!/usr/local/env dotnet run" would work fine.

@SilverStone_Tek A single external 3.5" bay would make this 110% perfect!
Floppy drive, ZIP drive, card reader, the utility would be incredible.
Pretty please???

The future of retro is here - FLP02
The FLP02 looks straight out of the ‘90s — with a Turbo button, floppy-style rotating latch, and power switch with keylock — but under the hood, it’s ready for RTX 5090, 360mm liquid cooling!

Hey @superloopau, can an individual take up a Totalbiz plan? The better upload would be perfect for WFH.

@someone_uses @Der_Kernel_ Nerevar isn't the player character name.
English

@Der_Kernel_ yeah, quick question, is the name gonna be exclusively "Nerevar" or is it gonna read the name we give our character and use AI to read it outloud, like books and letters?

@operagxsupport I want to turn off your password manager to use my own, and the menu item exists, but the toggle itself seems to be missing...?
Thus I can't turn it off.
Eventually I'll have said "never" for every site and the result will be the same, but c'mon!

English

@ActionRetro1 That's what Fail2Ban is good for tho, it does the metaphorical fly-swatting for you, based on rules like rate and request/result parameters.

We've just got the preliminary report on the Catalina plane crash in October and it's truly a series of dubious decisions. It starts out fine, a pilot and two students try to take off from Catalina but during run up they discover a problem with the ignition system. So, they call the place they rented the plane from and the owner tells them not to worry, he'll send out a friend in a twin engined Beech Baron. This friend also decides to bring someone else along.
This second plane arrives minutes before sunset, loads up but then can't start one of the engines because of a dead battery. They recharge it on the ground using a backup the pilot just happened to be carrying (maybe because he's been having battery problems?).
By the time they're ready to go, it's nighttime, and the Catalina airport is unlit, so night operations are prohibited. The airport manager tells them this, but he can't stop them.
They take off, and crashed in the darkness after less than a mile. Notably, the landing gear was not retracted, likely because it's electrically driven. It's possible then that some of the flight instruments weren't working either.
So, 3 pilots and 2 student pilots killed in this monument to bad decision making.

CRT Terminator, an interesting project of capturing vintage PC videocard digital output using a feature connector, and converting it into clean HD image a modern monitor can display

@sincespacies Daresay most of us had it on the good ol PS1. IMO the series peaked here, enough variety to keep you coming back, but not so much it's overwhelming. Top tier entry.

@dosnostalgic Ironically this PC will be actually not-obsolete for longer than any of those "Never Obsolete" systems were back in the day. 😂

Some feedback on the 3D printed case @TakiUdon_ :
- The 10mm (or 11?) spacers between the IO/fan board and the lid really need to be 12mm, so the lid doesn't bend.
- With the default 5mm spacers on the bottom, there is a gap between the sides and bottom...
