🚨 Mainstream media refuses to call things what they are when it protects the left. This is the Sunday KOMO News headline on the armed suspect who charged a Secret Service checkpoint at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner; “Suspect in custody, Trump safe after shooting scare.” The URL includes "trump-rushed-off-stage-after-loud-popping-noises" and "gunshots-sounds-noises." I mean, WTF @komonews? Not “assassination attempt.” Not “targeted attack on Trump and administration officials.” Just a “shooting scare” and “loud popping noises.” Shame on you KOMO News! You should immediately retract this article and write an unbiased headline like: "Trump survives likely 3rd major assassination attempt in less than two years at hands of radical leftist." This is called burying the lede, and mainstream media is famous for doing it to protect their side. The point is simple: this is how language gets manipulated by the mainstream media, and everyone knows it. They downplay left-wing hate and violence, and never force voters on the left to confront their side’s division and extremism. And for us on the conservative side? Our words get massively blown out of proportion to justify bills like SB 5974 which hand unelected bureaucrats the power to decertify democratically elected county sheriffs over manipulated “wrongthink” on social media. Voters be damned. When will voters demand honest reporting instead of narrative protection? DMs are open. Charging the Southern Poverty Law Center with a federal crime for paying informants to help dismantle hate groups is an outrageous weaponization of the Dept of Justice and the FBI. As someone who has been a prosecutor and has taken on the Klan I can tell you that use of paid informants is a common tactic used to dismantle drug cartels, the mob and extremist groups on both the right and the left. It is clear that all civil rights organizations are in the cross hairs of this Administration and that folks, puts everyone at risk.

Washington AG Nick Brown is responding for the first time after The Center Square obtained nearly 1,000 pages of internal income tax documents. Brown pushed back on claims his office advised lawmakers on how to bypass voters or the state constitution. According to Brown, his office was simply explaining existing law and court precedent, something AGs regularly do. When asked about emails referencing referendums, Brown said they reflected how revenue laws are treated under current law, not an effort to avoid voter input. His comments add a new layer to the growing debate over Washington’s income tax and the role of the AG’s office.

Political violence of all stripes against any political figure is unacceptable. So is the rank hypocrisy of someone who now says he respects law enforcement after he provoked the largest political violence in DC and then pardoned those who attacked officers.

In my county, we’re seeing a 30% increase in search and rescue calls—the vast majority involving people from outside the county. Our search and rescue teams are being forced to do more with less. I’m working to change that. My amendment to help make our rural counties whole is now law. And I’ll keep working to bring federal dollars home for rural communities and law enforcement.

This is one of the stupidest DOJ cases in history. Southern Poverty Law Center wasn’t paying the Klan, they were paying informants to who were helping to take down the Klan. Unless you believe white supremacists all of a sudden took over SPLC, this entire case makes no sense.
