And is it difficult to understand that every single person is built differently?
If every single person was built precisely, and I will use yourself as an example because it’s your own argument, to prepare for adult life perfectly at the correct age of 12 years old 15 years old 18 years old, etc.
We would not be having this conversation.
Not everybody is you. Life worked out good for you because of your hard work. Congratulations. I’m genuinely happy for you. But that is not the case for everybody else on the planet.
But I am advocating for is to build a world where people can recover from poor decisions without having to slave away for 50+ years because they did not prepare adequately enough. That is not too much to understand.
English

@SharpieNark @j4yliinnn @BigWave372 Long story short, is your responsibility to prepare for adult life.
Don’t settle 50+ years for a $16.50 job is stupid, is not sustainable.
How hard is that to understand?
English

No, you’re not an asshole. I will disagree with you respectfully that there needs to be more nuance.
You came out with the idea that 1000% accountability is on that fictional mother in the example alone.
And yes, she does have an enormous amount of self accountability.
We don’t know what the business is doing wrong.
What if the business is illegally paying her?
What if there was an advantage or a loophole they took over that was unethical that allowed them to pay her only 16.50 an hour?
What if the business had policies deliberately targeting desperate women in order to deliberately save on payroll?
Just because there’s personal accountability which I agree with you on. Does not mean there’s external accountability that is required as well.
English

@j4yliinnn @SharpieNark @BigWave372 - I didn’t share her story.
- I shared my point of view.
- Almost 600+ others comments which a significant % of it are likeminded to my opinion.
So, because I said it without filters then I’m an asshole?
English

@Puffupx @BigWave372 No.
But that Doesn’t mean we should just throw up our hands and quit. Doesn’t mean we can’t advocate, does not mean we can’t try. PEACEFULLY.
English

@SharpieNark @BigWave372 Can’t happen on modern society unfortunately.
The system does not care about the regular Joe.
English

And what is the light you’re referring to?
Multiple things can be true at once.
Did she get pregnant and make poor decisions?
Yes.
Does that mean she deserves to be suffer from those poor decisions for the rest of her life?
No.
Does she require hard work to recover from those poor decisions? Yes.
Would it be a positive net goal to adjust the laws and regulations of the country that incentivize workers to be paid more to make ends meet better so they do not have to suffer from their poor decisions for years on end ?Absolutely.
Working hard, does not equal success. There are millions of not billions of people that work hard every day and are unsuccessful. Point is persistence creates success. And nobody should have to work +50+60 or 70+ years to repair a single poor decision. Aside from severe severe detrimental decisions, such as murder.
English

@diliusdi @7IEDPIPER @NFTGod94 @Kingjw74 @SharpieNark @BigWave372 Go see the light a little bit, the truth might come to you.
English

You’re conflicting that hard work guarantees success.
It does not. It can help. And God knows it is needed in general to just subsist at a minimum.
Hard work does not guarantee success.
Persistence guaranteed success. But most people would agree that you shouldn’t have to be persistent for 50+ years in order to finally make ends meet and have a comfortable lifestyle. The average Joe is not asking to be a billionaire or a millionaire.
Most people just want to be able to be middle class and enjoy life without having to break their bones by the time they’re 40 in order to get there.
English

@SharpieNark @BigWave372 We all have to be ready to deal with the consequences of our decisions.
I go to the therapist to help me get my life straight, but if I don’t put on the work nothing will change. Therapist ain’t going to do it for me, regardless of endless help.
English

Oh, so people should just suffer for their mistakes and there’s no forgiveness.
No mercy, no compassion.
Just because people made poor decisions does not mean that they deserve or should suffer through them for the rest of their lives. One thing to ask for billionaires to give up all their money that’s not what she’s advocating for. She is Advocating for people just to ends meet.
English

@BigWave372 Stupid bitch! How’s that his problem? That’s how the system works, if you don’t prepare for it you will get stupid people like her making excuses.
She decided to have that kid I assume, all her decisions led her to that job at the bank. There is no one to blame but her.
English

@Portergauge Hell no!! What’s the point? Of being a drag race if you’re just a temporarily a dragon??????
