@tbpn @katie_haun Tokenizing the stock market is super interesting. It will open the floodgates to 24/7 international trading into us companies.

Haun Ventures CEO @katie_haun says we’re entering a new economy defined by three structural shifts: financial rails, new asset classes, and the agentic future. "We're taking this new fund of $1B and backing founders who are building what we're calling the new economy. When I say the new economy, I'm thinking about three structural shifts we're seeing right now." "The first is new financial rails and infrastructure. Think companies like Erebor. Gone are bankers hours and wire cut-offs. I mean, you're talking about global from day one, 24/7. This is a bank that opened on a Sunday." "Second are new assets and markets. It started as stablecoins, but we're now talking about tokenizing the stock market. You see companies like BlackRock, Coinbase, and Robinhood doing that. But it's also opened up new markets like prediction and perpetual markets." "The third structural shift is what we're calling the agentic future. It's not just AI broadly, it's where AI and crypto intersect. We're talking about building for a world where the end user is not necessarily a human of a financial product or service, but is a computer or an agent. How does that impact things like privacy? How does it impact things like provenance and trust? What form will they use? How will agents pay for things or subscribe to services?" From her appearance on the show last month.

@tbpn @loganbartlett I’ve never worked more than now. AI is just like having superpowers. You won’t do less, you want to use the powers you have!

Redpoint's @loganbartlett says AI has completely changed hiring—favoring people with unique backgrounds: "Agency might be the only thing that matters." "That's the thing that we are trying to figure out—where do you find pockets of people who still want to do the job talent-wise, or have the capability to do the job, but also have agency?" From his appearance on the show in March.

In the last 12 months there's been more than a couple million allocated just based off of investors seeing my IG posts on startups and investing in them and a couple million more in pipeline revenue from founders getting customers based on my IG reels The startup is dope so I am very happy for them :)

Got notified that an investor, wrote a check into a startup's seed round, after seeing my IG reel on their company. That REEL didn't get millions of views but it drove potentially millions in REAL capital. Great content drives capital allocation.

@davidsenra I’m going to steal from Elon, but if people don’t build things. Guess what, things don’t get built. Progress is not inevitable. It is made by the builders.

Sage observation from Marc Andreessen: “Technology is an enormously powerful force in the world. And the big problem is that there's not enough technology, there's not enough information, there's not enough intelligence.” “We have these special sets of technologies that let us fundamentally improve things. And then there's this very special personality type — the entrepreneur —who's able to build a product, and then able to build a company, and build a phenomenon, and really make an impact on things.” “I think the world we live in is just a very primitive and crude place as compared to what it should be —and what it could be." “And so the whole thing that we've been trying to do for 17 years at @a16z is build the ideal partner to founders based on our own experiences of having been founders.” “Every once in a while you have somebody who comes along and says: I actually have an idea of how to make things fundamentally better. And I have a way to build a business around that and build a company, and build an empire around that." “These founders are like a rogue movement against stagnation. Without them there's nothing but stagnation.” “Many people could be trying to do this. These are completely open fields and it's shocking to me how few people actually give it a shot.” “The fate of the world over the next 1,500 years is riding on the people who actually want to give it a shot.” @pmarca

YC is advising startups to do in-person sales, go to trade shows, and travel to see prospects. After a decade of advising that this was a waste of money

Incredible to see what a professional animator can do with AI video. He created a 3D previz and then had Seedance render the actual anime - with the motion and camera control preserved! (made by @craftcapitallab)

Elon told a podcast he expects Starship to be flying "more than once per hour down the road." That's 24+ launches per day from a rocket that can't reliably complete one flight yet. @SpaceX now handles 80-85% of all payload going into space. they're building a rocket 7-10x bigger than the one they use today. Betting against Elon's technical ability is like the most unprofitable bet you could make. even if you're right for a year or two, you're eventually wrong. full episode: youtu.be/Iy-O4-4w43Q

@Sheldonbishop01 @venturetwins I mean I've palyed multiple times before the patch (maybe 10 to 20? I don't remembered), and the highest score is about 200B.🙃 So yes, maybe you should bring back the reduction, and just fix those 8B corner cases that I had.

Before you sell, Before you quit, Before you step down Remember at best, we have 3 >real< start-ups in us as founders. And often just 1 good one. If you have any traction at all -- maybe find a way to make this one work.

I'll pay you $10 million to not take that meeting: "There's a famous story about LeBron. We're pitching him for Reebok. We send a plane. Everybody wants to sign him. And I tell Paul, "Hey, we do this in the record business and it works. You give an artist an advance and you bring the advance right there." In the music business sometimes it's cash in a duffel bag. But in this case it was going to be a check. And Paul called his wife because he couldn't get the company to get the check and his wife wrote a personal check for $10 million. We went to the meeting and Paul says, "LeBron, I know it's $100 million that Adidas is going to offer and Nike too. I'll match that deal and give you a $10 million signing bonus—right now—to not take those meetings. We'll give you $100 million plus the $10 million." Keep in mind LeBron is in high school at this time. He's going back to homeroom the next morning. He's in there with his mom and his team, but he's clearly LeBron James. He's making the decision. He asks for some room. We leave the meeting and go into the other room. We're like, "Oh, you think he's going to do it? I'm like, "Man, I think so. It's $10 million, man." We come back in the room and this 18-year-old kid says, "No. I'm betting on myself. I'm taking those other meetings." He walked away from $10 million and went back to the projects in Akron. I applaud him for that."
