BREAKING: President Trump pushes back on reporter questions alleging he is "profiting off the presidency," saying that "everybody's profiting" due to the surging stock market.
Trump turned the question around on the reporter, asking, "Do you have a 401k? How's your 401k done? It's about up 85%. 'Thank you, President Trump!'"

As far as I'm concerned this is a declaration of war on America.
By our own government.

WSJ: Donald Trump has weighed restarting a full-scale war with Iran, holding multiple talks with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine about launching more strikes. For now, though, he’s sticking with diplomatic talks, according to U.S. officials.
The talks centered on whether the U.S. should abandon negotiations and resume full-scale attacks on Iran, a move some officials described as “finishing the job.”

Today's Supreme Court decision on the birthright citizenship amendment should have been a unanimous 9-0 ruling, not a razor-thin 5-4 squeaker — and the fact that it was this close should absolutely terrify every single one of us.
The term "birthright citizenship" is often framed as an immigration-only issue. That framing is completely intentional, and it is precisely why this right is under attack.
In reality, if you were born on American soil, you have birthright citizenship. Today, the Supreme Court ruled by a single vote that your constitutional citizenship stands.
Four strategically installed justices — Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh — voted to undermine that very right, with Kavanaugh dissenting in part, according to The Guardian.
A core strategy of the current anti-American movement seizing our institutions and violating the rule of law is to take a foundational right and rebrand it to sound like it only applies to immigrants.
In truth, today's dangerously narrow decision could have placed the citizenship status of anyone born on American soil in serious jeopardy.
While the selling point to nativists focused on American citizens born to immigrant parents, had the decision gone the other way, it would have left everyone's citizenship status incredibly vulnerable.
The majority ruling was simple: "Children born in the United States to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are ‘subject to the jurisdiction’ of the United States and are citizens at birth under the Fourteenth Amendment’s Citizenship Clause."
In other words, it was a 5-4 vote just to ensure the 14th Amendment stands.
In a chilling dissent, Justice Samuel Alito argued that the Court made a "serious mistake" by upholding the 14th Amendment.
Is it any wonder fascist crybullies are cranking up their whining?
When the midterms are over, lawmakers must immediately address this dangerous slate of compromised justices and their relentless attempts to dismantle centuries of American democracy from the bench.

@RpsAgainstTrump And because European building standards are so high using real stone etc, the buildings retain heat extremely well. So all the buildings are baking. No relief at night.
English

Around 1,000 excess deaths have already been reported in France as Europe endures a record-breaking heatwave.
Temperatures reached 40°C (104°F) in parts of Europe on Sunday, while storms swept through other areas. Most of the deaths were among older people, and officials warn the toll is expected to rise as more cases are reported.
Scientists say the heatwave, which began on June 20, is the worst ever recorded in Europe, disrupting power generation, damaging infrastructure, and overwhelming healthcare systems.
Meanwhile, a video going viral shows a man frying an egg and bacon in a pan outside his window using nothing but the extreme heat

@RepJoshG @RepMikeLawler 1. It's not the job of the US government to run countries on the Middle East. Why does the US government need a resolution about Lebanon? And if apparently we do need to comment on every other country, why no resolutions on Sudan? DRC?
2. You're funded by AIPAC
English

The Lebanese people have made clear: they don't want to live under the boot of the Iranian regime. That's why @RepMikeLawler and I are introducing a bipartisan resolution demanding Iran’s proxy Hezbollah disarm and cease its attacks immediately.
Lebanon's future belongs to the Lebanese people — not the mullahs in Tehran.

🇱🇧🇮🇱 Israel Katz, Israeli Defense Minister, brags about war crimes in Lebanon on Channel 14:
“We have flattened the entire first line of villages in southern Lebanon, all the houses have been destroyed. The residents will never see them standing ever again. The 200,000 Lebanese residents who were in the 'security zone' are never returning again. Not one of them will ever return to southern Lebanon,"

Obama is now firing back and casting doubt on President Trump’s new Iran agreement, which tells you everything you need to know because the same man who gave America the JCPOA disaster is suddenly pretending he has the moral authority to lecture Trump on how to deal with Iran.
Obama’s deal gave Iran breathing room, legitimacy, cash, loopholes, and a path that never truly ended the threat, it only delayed the problem while Washington celebrated itself and told Americans not to ask too many questions.
Trump is trying to do the opposite.
He is pushing a deal that is supposed to take nuclear leverage away from Iran, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stop another Middle East disaster, and force peace through strength instead of giving the regime another weak handshake and calling it diplomacy.
That is why Obama is nervous.
This is not just about Iran.
This is about legacy.
If Trump gets a stronger deal, enforces it, and proves that pressure works better than appeasement, then the entire Obama foreign policy fantasy collapses in front of the world.
47 is not trying to copy Obama.
He is trying to clean up the mess Obama left behind.

This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@LinkofSunshine "The stock market is booming" is always a ridiculous argument for why the economy is good. The elites and companies control the stock market. It has zero to do with the working people.
