@Zarla_S I’ve noticed that Toby has characters he just really likes. Like Sans and Papyrus, he doodles them a lot. I’m p sure Spamton is another of his personal blorbos. He was relieved when we liked Tenna. I wonder if he’s just happy when we like the guys he likes as much as he does

@SWmoff I love your explanation a lot, and honestly, I felt like the lore of Dr Who was starting to eat itself, and was in need of a little break. A short little breather. I feel more optimistic about the show’s future now than I did when it was still running on Disney+.

@gothoperas This is just me but it felt like 15 was written like he was no more in control of any situation than any companion would be. Always panicking at the wheel, so to speak. When Jodie shows up, she’s written to be in control here, so it’s like, “oh good finally it’s the Doctor”

@timelesschild This is some important context. Tysm. There are a few other creative decisions I’d like to know more about….this is conjecture but I feel like Disney+ season 1 was mostly made of “rattling around in the back of the brain” episode ideas, conceptually weird to begin with

You don't have to love RTD2 to recognise how many factors were outside RTD's control. RTD had an original plan. But a series of circumstances outside his control forced him to pivot repeatedly. Looking at RTD2 without that context misses a huge part of the story. A thread....🧵
