@felicityrevere @PrestonBrashers Commonwealth is capitalized. I have filed a VA state tax return every May 1st since I was 15 years old. I am very aware of the our issues. Northern Virginia has been the economic powerhouse for most of the past century, the rest is resentful, but happy to take the revenue.

While the new State would be a powerhouse. But Tidewater would try to join the new guys.

Almost every county in Virginia moved hard to the Right compared to 2025 and even 2024. Most of Rural Virginia appears poised to perform Trump's margins by enough to shift the entire state to NO....if NOVA followed suit as well. But NOVA did not follow suit. Most Northern Virginia counties moved to the LEFT of 2024. And that's the ball game. Virginia is under hostile occupation. We are ruled out of Fairfax County, and there's nothing we can do about it.

@NickMinock My 5th great grandfather was from Spotsylvania and he served 7 years in the Continental Army. Good to see there are still some patriots in that part of the country.

WATCH: Spotsylvania County voters told me they aren’t happy Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger said on the campaign trail last year she had no plans to redistrict Virginia, but is now trying to anyway. Those voters are also telling me they do not believe Spanberger when she says this is “temporary.”

@NickMinock She won’t be governor in the next redistricting, so it won’t be on her if it doesn’t go back to the bipartisan commission. It was also the legislature, not the governor’s mansion that put this in place, so not sure why they put it on her. Blame Texas and NC.

@dylguy98 @ChristianHeiens You brought up corporate income tax, you tell me. Individual residents of northern Virginia make up 30% of the population while paying half the income taxes the Commonwealth collects.

First part was spell correct. He said Fairfax was the wealthiest, which it is not. Fairfax collects the most in *property taxes* not *sales tax* These aren’t distributed equally, property taxes stay local for schools roads and bridges, sales taxes are pooled and redistributed among the state, and corporate taxes are put in the same category but used for discretionary spending.
