There has been a falling out between the United States and Israel. Netanyahu has an extensive history of acting rogue, striking Iranian targets the U.S. does not approve of, and doing so without notifying the U.S. As a result, Israel has hit an Iranian gas field, prompting retaliation by Iran against Qatar, a U.S. ally that is not involved in the war. Trump has told Netanyahu to stop, and warned Iran not to retaliate any further, or the U.S. will finish the job Israel started. Trump is now beginning to understand what a loose canon Netanyahu is, but it's not enough. He needs to recognize that Netanyahu got him into this war, to benefit Israel and Israel alone, that Netanyahu is manipulating him, and his own Christian Zionist base is using religion to dictate U.S. foreign policy. He needs to find an off ramp to get the U.S. out of this war before May 31, or the Midterms are lost and he will likely be impeached multiple times until something finally sticks and he's forced to resign.
