I dropped out of university at end of year two and lied to my parents. They still believe I'm there and are now asking when my graduation is. The moral of the confession is stay in uni.

I hope the FT gets indemnity costs. They must have spent a fortune on this. But even then, it wouldn’t be enough to deter Odey and others like him from trying to silence critics with libel actions. Failed libel actions should carry a painful cost.

Douglas Murray is a fraud and an ignorant fool. His fancy posh accent has allowed him to pass off as an expert on geopolitics, Islam, war and peace, and other sundry matters. I just saw an interview with the BBC, involving him, in which he described Muammar Gaddafi as a jihadist. Gaddafi was a sworn enemy of jihadism and all its works. His lodestar was the Arab nationalism and socialism of Nasser. If Murray doesn't even know this, what else doesn't he know?

Why do our broadcasters cover live these rambling incoherent BS Trump meetings with his sycophants? They are propaganda not news. If they are to be shown live there should be real time rebuttal of the lies. And perhaps the occasional pointing out of the many many promises made at previous such meetings or deals, agreements, resolutions which never materialised. Just as Trump is played by Putin so the media are played by Trump.
