Starmer lied to get into power & our media are incapable of holding him to account, because they were complicit in the heist. Now we’re being dragged into a war for Israel & a mad Pedophile king, with bills through the roof & the threat of getting us all blown up. Well done all.

Keir Starmer has dragged the UK into this war against our will. UK bases face further attacks - putting military personnel and civilians in the potential line of fire. This is a Prime Minister who promised a vote before any military action - that must now happen on Monday.

"In China, when we quarantined individual apartments, but all the apartments that shared the same sewer line or kitchen vent pipe got sick because it was aerosols, not droplets." Awks but nevertheless 100% true 🤷‍♀️
Nukit@NukitToBeSure

Well, I got some bad news for you😅 when we lost droplet theory, we largely lost coughing into our hands/elbows as “polite” infection control. It’s still polite, it’s just not doing all that much. Particularly not as it’s often used, “If you are sick, at least cover your mouth when you cough!” when really the only covering that will matter is a good mask. Effectiveness of cough etiquette maneuvers in disrupting the chain of transmission of infectious respiratory diseases pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC38… Simulating the Environmental Spread of SARS-CoV-2 via Cough and the Effect of Personal Mitigations mdpi.com/2076-2607/10/1… Coughing into our elbow/hand “feels” right because we have an entire 60-year-old risk-management heuristic based on bad data that we’ve all been using our whole lives. "Suzy at the office is sick- so I’ll be careful to wash my hands." or "I’m sick- but I’ll cover my mouth when I cough". In China, when we quarantined individual apartments, but all the apartments that shared the same sewer line or kitchen vent pipe got sick because it was aerosols, not droplets. This is one of the problems with losing the droplet model- it’s a load-bearing belief. You lose it, you lose a lot of things built on it- literally. Nearly all modern buildings are built on droplet theory, not aerosol transmission. Scientists and policymakers with a macro view of things reflexively oppose it because, if droplet theory is wrong, it's a cascade failure (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading…) on a vast scale. So many things have to be reexamined and are likely to be very bad if it was aerosols all along. As outrageous as the ongoing institutional denial is, aerosol transmission as a dominant infection model breaks a lot of things- everywhere, and the people in charge, got there, and stay there by maintaining the status quo, not by being disruptive and advocating for costly adaptation to change.

The UK Has ZERO legal ground Under international law to let its bases be used for US-Israeli aggression on Iran. The UN Charter is crystal clear. Article 2(4) bans any threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state. Article 51 allows self-defence only if an armed attack occurs, and it must be necessary and proportionate. There is no UN Security Council authorisation here. The US-Israeli strikes on Iran that were not in response to any Iranian armed attack. UN experts, the Secretary-General, and legal analysts rightly call this aggression. In fact, there is broad consensus that it's an illegal aggression dressed up as “defence.” Iran’s counter-strikes, by contrast, are lawful self-defence. Now the UK wants to allow US forces to use British sovereign bases for strikes on Iranian missile sites. This is not “limited defensive action”, as claimed. It is direct facilitation of an unlawful war. UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 (Definition of Aggression), Article 3(f) states: “The action of a State in allowing its territory, which it has placed at the disposal of another State, to be used by that other State for perpetrating an act of aggression against a third State” constitutes aggression itself. In this context, the UK territory triggers UK responsibility. Even under the ILC Articles on Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts (2001), Article 16: a state that knowingly aids or assists another in committing an internationally wrongful act is itself internationally responsible. The ILC Commentary explicitly cites allowing the use of territory or bases for an armed attack. The UK Attorney General initially refused the US request precisely because of this risk of complicity. The sudden “limited defensive” U-turn changes nothing — the missiles being targeted are part of the same illegal campaign. Claims of collective self-defence do not save this either. Such claims require a request from the victim state, must remain proportionate, and cannot be used to aid an aggressor’s broader unlawful objectives. Hitting Iranian territory to “protect Gulf allies” while the US/Israel campaign continues its offensive crosses the line. The UK is not neutral. By providing sovereign bases it becomes a co-aggressor under international law. This violates the prohibition on the use of force, the duty not to allow territory to be used for aggression, and exposes Britain to state responsibility at the ICJ or elsewhere, and triggers Iran's right to self-defense. Starmer must revoke permission immediately.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi@araghchi

Vast majority of the British People do not want any part in the Israel-U.S. war of choice on Iran. Ignoring his own People, Mr. Starmer is putting British lives in danger by allowing UK bases to be used for aggression against Iran. Iran will exercise its right to self-defense.

Sixteen years ago, one man stood alone on a grassy hill at a music festival in Washington State, USA, and started dancing by himself. People glanced over and looked away. Some laughed. His roommate leaned in and warned him people were filming him. He did not stop. Then one stranger got up and joined him. Then another. Then the hillside tipped. Within minutes, hundreds of people were sprinting from across the field to be part of something that, thirty seconds earlier, had been one man being laughed at in a field. Someone filming from higher up the hill said quietly: "See what one man can do. One man can change the world." The clip spread across the internet in 2009. Entrepreneur Derek Sivers played it at a TED conference to explain how movements actually begin. Not with the first person brave enough to start, he argued, but with the first person willing to join them. Collin Wynter, the man dancing alone, later said he had no idea he had done anything special. He was just tired of watching everyone sit still.

Trump 1 hour ago: "We don't want a ceasefire" I wouldn't read to much into this. As with the military buildup since mid-January, look at the assets not his words. It's very clear that assets are being moved into theatre for a possible "boots on the ground" scenario.

Voice of Rabbis
Voice of Rabbis@voiceofrabbis·
Wow. The newest Zionist propaganda already got to you? The nonsense you’re repeating is still in its early development among Hasbaraists. First, we opposed Zionism before the Soviets even existed. The Soviet state began with the “October” Revolution in November 1917 (October in the old Russian calendar), when the Bolsheviks seized power in Petrograd. The formal state known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was established on December 30, 1922. We were against Zionism before 1900. We were already publishing anti-Zionist literature and warnings then. The increase in anti-Semitism and the danger to Jews that Zionism would cause was a central theme of Bar Hedya O Chalom Herzl, the first book written in opposition to Zionism, by Rabbi Dov Berish Tursch, printed in Warsaw in 1900. Among other things, he cites a letter from the Chacham Bashi in Turkey warning that the Zionist project would arouse the Sultan’s ire against the entire Jewish population in the Holy Land. Here is another example, from an Orthodox newspaper: “The Zionists have taken the holiness of our Holy Land and the love of Zion—the object of our nation’s yearning—and used them to deceive … to blind the eyes of the wise and to pervert the words of the righteous; to trick the rabbis and to mislead the pure and straight of heart.” (R. Yaakov Lifshitz, in Hapeles, 5661 [1901], p. 180.) It wasn’t only the Orthodox who opposed Zionism. For example, The American Israelite (1/19/1902) called Zionism a “pernicious agitation” that would undermine the status of Jews in their countries of residence. Lucien Wolf, in The Jewish Quarterly Review (October 1904), wrote—correctly—that “the characteristic peril of Zionism is that it is the natural and abiding ally of anti-Semitism and its most powerful justification.” There were no Soviets then. Yet it was already understood that Zionism would endanger Jews. There were no conflicts with Palestinians then, yet anti-Zionist Jews already warned that Zionism would damage relations between Jews and Arabs in the Holy Land. Second, the opposite is true: It was, in fact, Soviet propaganda that later convinced many people that Zionism is connected to Judaism (see, for example, the anti-Semitic video below, produced by the Soviets in 1983). Their goal was to associate Judaism—and thus all Jews—with Zionism, bringing ire upon all Jews, not only Zionists, something that Zionists try to do even today. Much of Zionism comes from Russian ideological frameworks hostile to Jews. For example: under Stalin, anti-Semitic Russian policy stopped recognizing Jews by their religion and instead classified them as an ethnicity (like Uzbek or Estonian), as reflected on Soviet identity cards and passports. Other religious groups—Christians and Muslims—did not have their religions converted into ethnicities. Thus, an Estonian who practiced Christianity was listed as Estonian, but an Estonian who practiced Judaism was listed as “Jew.” Zionism, to a significant extent, originated in Russia and adopted these anti-Jewish frameworks—where Jewishness is reduced to ethnicity rather than religion. Zionism is a hate movement against Judaism. Btw, the Jewish, Halachic way of spelling Lisa in Hebrew is ליסא. The way you spell it was invented by the Zionists.
Lisa Keshet ליסה קשת@LisaKeshet

Let me be very clear, antizionism is a hate movement. Antizionist Jews collaborate with genocidal Islamist, Third Worldist, and neo-Nazis who harm Jews. You’re perpetuating antisemitic Soviet propaganda, which inverted cause and effect by blaming Israel for antisemitism. Israel is the ancestral home of the Jewish people with a distinct religion, language and set of traditions. Emancipation in the modern era required the Jews of Europe to Christianise down to a religion. You may identify this way but no Jew should ever participate in a hate movement against other Jews. Antizionism is a hate movement.
