Last week liberals had a melt down over a Confederate Flag flying proudly in the wind on Lake Norman and visible from I-77. A couple of libs even called NC SHP and 911 to report the flag, then expressed outrage that the cops wouldn’t do anything. I realize this is a shock to Yankee transplants and West Coasters. But if you get off the interstates and drive across the Carolinas on secondary roads you’ll quickly realize these flags are pretty darn common. Trust me no one’s going to steal your children or burn a cross in your front yard. In the South people continue to fly the Confederate flag primarily as a symbol of Southern heritage, local pride, and regional identity, often honoring ancestors who fought in the Civil War. Others use it to represent rebellion, cherished rural lifestyle, or a desire for limited government. But be warned it is also a flashing reminder that FA/FO applies big time in rural Carolinas. Y’all come back now ya hear!

@ClimateDefiance On the other hand. This tiny geopolitical area has 10 Democrat Party Senators Compared to Approximately the same area as Wyoming. They should be forced to combine into one state and get only 2 Senators for the state.

More people live in Brooklyn than North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming combined. New York State has 2 senators, those states have 6.

@BlackMajikMan90 Iron lung is definitely closer to the ideal for me. It stays true to the game it's based on, brings more attention to the game than there would be without it, and clearly has passion behind it. Yes it's longer than the game, but it also builds more onto the story.

Return to Silent Hill vs Iron Lung is such a perplexing situation for video game movies. - On one hand, you have a project with Hollywood backed funding being unfaithful to the source material but a much easier and conventional viewing experience. - And on the other, an independently funded passion project that is ridiculously faithful to the game, yet is a tedious slog to sit through. If video game movies are to succeed, there has to be some kind of middle ground or compromise.

Elder scrolls 6: Hammerfell -Takes place 25 years after Skyrim - Hammerfell & Highrock -Dragonborn is gone (presumably in apocrypha) -Dragons are still around but much fewer, they will feel like more scripted fights. - Thalmor have taken Skyrim after the civil war -high rock and hammerfell are the last provinces free of Thalmor rule -highrock will feel similar to classic fantasy, think oblivion and Skyrim had a baby. -Local Bretons (reachmen) fighting off the encroaching thalmor, elites in dagerfall working with them. -hammerfell will feel more like a post warzone, no thalmor occupation. -navel ship combat and customization (limited compared to starfield, you’ll pick templates and customize set sections of them. -islands off the coast where Yokuda was will be procedurally generated. It will feel like landing on a planet in starfield. (The whole of Hammerfell was like this but they scrapped it after starfield and that’s why development is taking so long) - player is the Hoonding (a reincarnation of a Redguard hero) your “shouts” will be sword singing powers. - all towns will be open. Small interior cells will still have loading screens but they are much quicker and hidden with an animation, similar to taking off in your ship in starfield. Larger interiors, expect the old black screen with 3D model as always. - Daedric prince will be the second DLC and will be based around Malacath, and take you to Orsinium These are my predictions, this has NOT been leaked to me by an insider.

@Jaytex45 @Der_Kernel_ Why not? Obviously you'd be able to choose your race in game, like every other elder scrolls game. But if the game is set in Hammerfell, it would make sense that the hero would canonically be Redguard, same as how the Dragon born is likely canonically a Nord

@codyrussel70504 The only American writers part is a bit iffy I'll be honest. Because that cuts out a lot of the most influential writers in history, not the mention most of the Romantisim and Enlightenment eras of writing since those were headed by Europeans. It's not as good as you think
