This may be the way! I have very little first-hand knowledge of this draft class, but what separates Ryan Lin from Ty Smith (2018, NJD 17th overall)? Similar size, WHL pre-draft stats, good overall game. Is his skating better? Puck IQ? Defensive play?

@TheProspectDon @TheFourthPeriod It should be noted; the last time the Sharks traded the 2nd overall pick, they traded Chris Pronger. The last time anyone traded 2nd overall pick (#Isles), it was Jason Spezza. Probably, a bad idea. But, I’m just a fan.

Sharks would more than likely take a defenseman like Chase Reid, Keaton Verhoeff, Albert Smits or Carson Carel if they trade back from that 2nd pick Blackhawks could move the 4th overall pick for a winger for Connor Bedard Kraken could move the 7th pick, Shane Wright + as well We rarely see trades in the top 10 in drafts, but there is always a chance

Tynan doesn't turn 18 until August. Only 7 points in 18 games at Boston University, but next season could be a breakout. Super young.
