The TVK government @CMOTamilnadu, driven by political hostility, is intent on sabotaging the upcoming Parandur Airport, which was planned and implemented by our former Hon CM, Thalaivar @mkstalin, to develop a proud Tamil Nadu with world-class infrastructure. My attached slides will demonstrate that Chennai requires Parandur Airport to raise its status on the global stage as a leading aviation hub. Let us come together for this noble cause. @Udhaystalin

As the Chairman of the Joint Action Forum on Minorities, I hosted a webinar opposing the proposed FCRA Amendment Bill 2026. The forum, consisting of more than 100 members across the country, including heads and leaders from different religious denominations, was expanded to fight for the rights of minorities and ensure the constitutional guarantees. The meeting is about how far the majority of the people of this country are going to be affected by such atrocious FCRA Amendment Bill 2026, as this intrudes into health, aged homes, education and other services to the society by the minorities. The deliberation involved interaction with Rev. Asir Ebenezer, General Secretary, NCCI; Fr. Mathew Koyickal, Deputy General Secretary, CBCI; Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Jesus Calls; Fr. Joe Arun, Chairman, Tamil Nadu Minorities Commission; Rev. Liju John, Malankara Mar Thoma Church; Bishop Thomas Abraham, St. Thomas Evangelical Church; Mr. A.C. Michael, National Coordinator, UCF; Ms. Tehmina Arora, Director, ADF International; Mr. Siju Thomas, Director, ADF India; Mr. Idaya Benzigar, former officer Income Tax; Mr. Prem Kodali, Vijayawada; Mr. Daniel Schwartz David, Emmanuel Hospital Association; Mr. Abhijeet Sangma, Christian Coalition for Health; Mr. Ttoko Teki, Arunachal Pradesh; and Mr. Pranesh Solomon, Vice Chairman, Jharkhand Minorities Commission, along with several Christian leaders, advocates, educationists and social representatives who participated in today’s webinar. During the interaction, we strongly resolved to focus on awareness, legal strategy, institutional safeguards, and youth participation. We coordinated national outreach against this draconian law and, in particular, organised nationwide prayers and protests on the 29th of June 2026 to press for the withdrawal of the FCRA 2026 Amendment Bill. It was also discussed about organising a mass protest in the form of rallies and also protests by educational institutions, Health sectors, and service organisations across the country Mr John Samuel, Former Postmaster General and Convenor of the Joint Action Forum on Minorities, coordinated this important initiative. @Jacfoms

NEET paper leak remains an annual menace! The NEET-UG 2026 exam paper leak, where a handwritten “guess paper” reportedly matched over 100 questions, has once again prompted CBI investigations and exposed the systemic flaws. Year after year, paper leaks and scandals reveal how the flawed #NEET system favours the wealthy, the coached, and the connected. Meanwhile, students from poorer, rural, government school backgrounds and regional language speakers, particularly Tamil-medium learners, are excluded from medical education. Hon @dpradhanbjp, Union Minister, marks alone do not determine merit. This is “knowledge untouchability” in the twenty-first century. Over 80 lakh people nationwide have signed petitions led by @Udhaystalin and joined campaigns demanding the abolition of NEET. Under the leadership of then Hon’ble CM/Thalaivar @mkstalin, the Tamil Nadu Assembly passed the NEET Exemption Bill twice — but it was rejected by @rashtrapatibhvn after being pending for three years. Following instructions of then CM @mkstalin, the Tamil Nadu government filed an original suit in November 2025 before the Supreme Court, challenging the Hon’ble President’s decision to withhold assent. Now, with Hon’ble CM Thiru Joseph Vijay @CMOTamilnadu clearly stating that “the state doesn’t need NEET,” I urge the TN Govt to continue its fight for social justice and abolish NEET. #BanNEET #SocialJustice #TamilNadu #NEETExemption #Federalism #EducationForAll
P. Wilson -தமிழ்நாட்டை தலைகுனிய விட மாட்டேன்@PWilsonDMK

Today in my speech in the Parliament on the motion to thank President, I emphasised abolishing NEET and urged Hon’ble @narendramodi to give assent to TN NEET EXEMPTION BILL 2021 passed by TN Legislative Assembly at the behest of Hon’ble @mkstalin and sent to Union Home Ministry for president @rashtrapatibhvn assent . I said that Hon’ble @Udhaystalin has lead campaign against NEET and more than 80 lakhs persons have subscribed to this. I asked why the”The Public examination(prevention of unfair means ) Bill 2024” passed on 9.2.2024 and assented on 12.2.2024 was notified only on 21.6.2024 which made NTA officials @NTA_Exams to escape from this Act after NEET scam broke. I spoke about need for legislative backing of National Testing Agency @NTA_Exams which is responsible for conducting more than 14 critical competitive exams, including NEET as it is registered under the Societies Registration Act like any other flat owners housing societies. Crores of funds are given to this unaccountable body. On State issues I spoke as follows:- (A) Phase-II of Chennai Metro @cmrlofficial has been proposed at a cost of   Rs.63,246 Crores and covering 119 Kms as a 50:50 Joint   Venture between Union Government and Government of TN although, the Phase-II project’s Foundation Stone was laid by the   Hon’ble Union Home Minister @AmitShah on 21.11.2020 and the announcement for counterpart   funding was made in the Union Budget for 2021-22, there has been no   progress. Though the project was recommended by the Public Investment   Board (PIB) on 17.8.2021, it is still awaiting the approval of the Cabinet   Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA). Many other city metro proposals which   were subsequently recommended by Public Investment Board have since been  approved by the Union Government.   Considering the pressing needs of the Chennai Metropolitan Area, the   Government of Tamil Nadu has commenced the works for Phase-II, in   anticipation of approval by the Union Government and the expenditure is being   currently met from the State Funds. While such funding of project expenditure   has ensured that the works are on track, the State’s fiscal situation has been   adversely impacted by it. This situation needs to be set right without any   further delay.   We urge the  Hon’ble Prime Minister to give cabinet clearance and allocate 50% of the cost, i.e. Rs 31,623 crores. (B) NDRF claims Tamil Nadu faced two unprecedented natural disasters in the month of   December 2023. Cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’ brought extremely very heavy rainfall  and also the southern districts of the State viz. Thoothukudi,   Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Kanniyakumari districts received unprecedented, extremely   heavy rainfall in December 2023. As a result, the infrastructure both   public and private and livelihoods of the people have been devastated. After  The IMCT officials visited and assessed the damages the State Government made a claim of Rs 37,907.21crores. However, the Union Government has sanctioned only a   meagre compensation of Rs.276 crores from the NDRF on 26.4.2024. Given the   magnitude of the natural disasters and the colossal damage caused to the   infrastructure and livelihoods, this compensation is grossly inadequate and is a grave   injustice to the State of TN. Hence, it is requested that at least Rs.3,000 Crores may be   immediately sanctioned under NDRF to take up the restoration and relief   works and to defray the expenditure already incurred by the State. (C) WE NEED A CASTE BASED CENSUS as there is no contemporary data available after 1931 (D) NEW RAILWAY PROJECTS IN TAMIL NADU @GMSRailway requested on high   priority: - 1. 4th line between Tambaram and Chengalpattu.  2. Tiruppathur – Krishnagiri – Hosur New line.  3. Madurai – Thoothukudi – via – Aruppukkottai (143.5 Kms) (Only 18 Kms   commissioned, rest to be sanctioned).  4. Minjur – Tiruvallur – Sriperumpudur– Oragadam – Singaperumalkoil –  Maduranthagam.  @aifsoj @DMKITwing @arivalayam

I attended a significant seminar held in Ranchi, Jharkhand, organised under the leadership of Mr Pranesh Solomon, Vice-Chairman of the Jharkhand State Minorities Commission, along with archbishops, bishops, pastors, mission leaders, civil society members, and representatives from various minority communities and political parties. I spoke on the serious constitutional concerns surrounding the proposed FCRA (Amendment) Bill, 2026, introduced in Parliament; the misuse of anti-conversion laws; and the growing challenges faced by minority people and minority educational and charitable institutions across India. This is not about one religion or one denomination. It is about protecting the constitutional values of secularism, pluralism, religious freedom, and democratic accountability guaranteed under Articles 25 to 30 of the Constitution of India. During the seminar, I also reiterated the Joint Action Forum on Minorities' collective decision to observe a National Day of Prayer and Fasting on 28 June 2026. I invited civil society organisations, churches, prayer halls, religious denominations, charitable institutions, and all democratic forces across the country to join together in solidarity for justice, peace, equality, and the protection of constitutional rights. India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity. We must stand united to defend constitutional morality, minority rights, and democratic institutions. @mkstalin @Udhaystalin @arivalayam @Jacfoms

To my letter written to Hon HM @AmitShah on 25.03.2026, requesting that the current census schedule be amended to include ‘OBC’ as a separate category explicitly, I received a reply from the Hon Minister of State, HA @nityanandraibjp, indicating that caste-based enumeration will be undertaken in the second phase of Census 2027 without addressing my concerns about a separate column for OBC in the census questionnaire format. The minister did not respond affirmatively, and the reply is unsatisfactory, evasive, elusive, dillydallying, and disappointing! This resembles another women's bill aimed at defeating the OBCs' nationwide request to increase reservations beyond 27% in line with their population! I therefore reiterate my demand to increase the reservation for OBCs to at least 50% immediately, and to have the census schedule appropriately amended to include OBCs as a distinct category explicitly. @mkstalin @Udhaystalin @arivalayam @aifsoj

"If we are serious about women’s empowerment, 33% reservation must be implemented immediately within the current strength of Parliament." *** This is the ONE THING that the NDA wants to HIDE behind #DelimitationDrama*** "Any attempt to bring in delimitation through the back door risks undermining India’s federal balance amid existing regional population disparities between the North Indian states and rest of India." - says Thiru. @ikamalhaasan avargal. #SayNoToNDA #VoteForDMKAlliance
Kamal Haasan@ikamalhaasan

After the historic fall of delimitation-linked 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, my colleague @PWilsonDMK has introduced a Private Member’s Bill to implement 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies, without linking it to delimitation. The Bill also proposes extending the freeze on delimitation till 2051, giving states time to achieve population stabilisation which can be achieved by our North Indian states through genuine women empowerment i.e. providing access to quality education, quality healthcare, and equal employment opportunities for women. If we are serious about women’s empowerment, 33% reservation must be implemented immediately within the current strength of Parliament. Any attempt to bring in delimitation through the back door risks undermining India’s federal balance amid existing regional population disparities between the North Indian states and rest of India. States like Tamil Nadu and other South Indian states, which prioritised women-centric development and population stabilisation, should be seen as models, not penalised with reduced political representation. I urge the Union Government to convene another special session of the Parliament after the Assembly elections and pass this Bill, or introduce an equivalent government legislation without delay. @KirenRijiju #NationSavedFromDivision #FairDelimitation
