Everybody keeps blaming Gen Z for alcohol companies losing billions, but I honestly think people are missing the bigger picture. It’s not that young people suddenly stopped partying. It’s that going out isn’t even enjoyable anymore for a lot of people. A night out used to mean fun, freedom, cheap drinks, live music, and good memories. Now everything costs a fortune. Drinks are overpriced, food is overpriced, Ubers are outrageous, bars close early, and people are constantly worried about fights, drama, getting arrested, or somebody recording everything on a phone. Half the country can barely afford groceries, much less a $14 beer and a $70 tab every weekend. I promise you young people are still getting wild. Always will. But a lot of older people that used to go out and spend money? They’ve checked out completely. It’s expensive, stressful, and honestly not worth the risk anymore for a lot of folks. The nightlife culture America had 20 years ago just doesn’t feel the same anymore.

GEN Z isnt drinking. The alcohol industry has LOST over $800 billion in the last four years. Are they smoking weed instead? Or just living sober?
