@blinkskwid That kinds defeats the purpose of the statement. It was meant to insult a bunch of entitled people. It's not a race thing it's a very specific group of people. Like welfare fraudsters that rip off the system and get pissy when you go after their scam.

@coffeebetz @spartin01919 @kusosaru1 @esjesjesj That's literally the issue. It is not only a really bad descriptor because it's a generalization and can be applied to any country depending on the person saying it. People call America a third world country and we have pretty bad literacy levels. It's also just mean spirited.

@EntreeLifeStyle @theneedledrop I agree post your first sentence. This is his opportunity to show he's changed and is working on himself you're absolutely right. Where there is a disconnect is the disembodied THEY. Ye himself was almost singlehandedly responsible for everything he lost not some mystical THEY.

@blinkskwid @theneedledrop They literally took everything they can from him. He has apologized and told us about his mental health issues and held himself accountable and asking us for a chance to show he’s growing and moving on.

you mention these things like they were all ripped from him in a random act of god or something. he actively burned each of these bridges over the course of years while thousands of his fans begged him to stop.

The Kanye stuff is an interesting peek into the notion of accountability the post-2017 world. He lost a billion dollars, adidas deal, his wife, and a shit ton of business relationships. I think when people say they want “accountability” they actually mean “total ruin.”

@EntreeLifeStyle @theneedledrop I think there is a difference between helping someone with their issues and letting all of their bad actions slide because they had issues. Part of recovery from the outside is holding the person accountable for their actions AND making them feel like they can grow and move on.

@theneedledrop You’re the same people be like mental health is important, mental health awareness day etc.. we must help those especially if they reach out but fuck Kanye because of his mental health issues. How can you rate music if you tie outside stuff to the music. Bias.

@spartin01919 @kusosaru1 @esjesjesj Reading these replies hurt. Wtf do you mean how do you describe them?? Like your only option to describe a people group is to declare their literacy levels and state of economy. How about using their name, location, political or social affiliations. Or don't generalize???

@kusosaru1 @esjesjesj So if someone is from the 3rd world and is illiterate. How exactly do you describe them without being racist? "These nonamerican and under educated people"? Bro, Stfu, no one cares about your pretend outrage anymore. You are all nothing but clowns to be ignored or laughed at now

"Friends" star Lisa Kudrow says new sitcoms are “too afraid” to make jokes that make audiences “uncomfortable”: "But I’m not drawn to new sitcoms that are multi-camera in front of an audience because I’m not buying it. I don’t know if that’s just because I’ve seen too many single-camera sitcoms—I think we need to get back to being able to tell jokes. I feel like we’ve been too afraid to make jokes that might make people uncomfortable.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/l…

is parks and recreation genuinely on the same level as 30 rock and community or am i being trolled? from the outside it just looked like a The Office-lite (see also Brooklyn 99)
Jose Ramon Acebes@jracebes

@SkinnyTuna 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and Community were on NBC at the same time. What an incredible run. Season 2 unfortunately is now missing Advanced Dungeon & Dragons, a truly great episode.

Serious question: If we were able to go to the Moon and land there in the 1960s, what makes it so difficult to do it again in 2026? Can’t we just reuse the technology from the 1960s and 1970s?

my favorite sex scene ever is from Friendly Persuasion. The dad (Gary Cooper) and the mom (Dorothy McGuire) have a fight. So mom goes to sleep in the barn. Dad, feeling a little bad (please note that dad is not in the wrong) goes out to the barn with some blankets and a pillow. They start talking and he sits down and they talk some more. Then the scene cuts to the morning, and both mom & dad come back from the barn, and dad's picking straw out of his hair. So you KNOW what went on. Also they reached a compromise on the argument. Perfect sex scene without an inch of nudity.

Quentin Tarantino explains why he does not include nudity or sex scenes in his films: "Sex isn’t part of my vision of cinema. And the truth is, in real life, shooting sex scenes is a pain—everyone gets really tense. And if it was a bit of a hassle to do before, it’s even more so now. If a sex scene had ever come up that was essential to the story, I would have done it, but so far it hasn’t been necessary." Is there a need for sex scenes in films and TV?
