I don’t live in San Francisco. But after I left the newsroom I stopped at a SF @Safeway to buy two items. The store has security including gates for entering and exiting, a guard, and locked cases throughout the store. I watched three young men enter and one of my favorite 🧵

We are at 4th & King. And we are grieving for the family that should never have lost a child here. This intersection is incredibly dangerous & there too many more like this. The City MUST do more to keep us safe. Streets can be designed & enforced to protect us. No excuses.
