@eUndead666 @CrimsonDesert_ It's the modern times we live in now. Patching up bad optimization, patching up subpar raytracing with ray reconstruction. A lot of unfinished systems we patch up with AI. I really hope we will, at some point, get over this time period. Ghosting is another issue becoming worse

@PotatoePet @CrimsonDesert_ I‘m just curious why nobody talks about this? Even DF was very quiet about the obvious downsides of this kind of RT implementation, same with resi 9. its breaking my immersion time and agian and is very very unpleasant sometimes.

@eUndead666 @CrimsonDesert_ You also have artifcats with ray reconstruction sadly. Even tho it costs so much performance. :( Especially ray reconstruction destroys the Visione sequences and add a lot of pixel noise to them. Sadly they don't seem to be interested in fixing that :/

@inigogmez Starship has not made orbit yet. It‘s not sure it ever will. It‘s a huge gamble for Nasa to bet the tight timeline of Artemis 3 and 4 on SpaceX and Blue Origin.

@Samuelorana @SynthPotato Yeah. You know. Maybe just don’t play if you think its a waste of time? Games are mechanics first most of the time. Most games do not have narrative, thats better than a very mediocre netflix series. Its about immersion that is created by visuals, sound mechanics and story alike

Seeing a lot of discussion about this, Gaming is an interactive medium. When you remove the interaction part, you are missing out on a critical part of the experience. It's OK to enjoy stories by watching vids but I really think you need to play to appreciate games fully imo.

@VisualFidelity Yeah but honestly, RT indoors is noisy as hell, I get weird PSSR flickering all over the place and pop in is massive in perf mode. I mean, I really like the game but it struggles a lot in a few places. Wish you could switch off RTGI on PS5 tbh.

PS5 Pro flexes it's $900 muscle with the new Crimson Desert update. Performance mode looks like native 4K, maybe even better, which is impressive considering the scale of this game. Even the farthest tree looks detailed.

@DomainDead AC Unity revisionism in general is baffling considering it was the epitome of Assassin's Creed's maximum rot period post-Ezio and pre-Origins. Say what you will about Origins and Odyssey but at least they were breaking from the previous worn out formula.

It's so funny watching people rep this, and AC Unity getting a popularity boost, when in 2014, this shit had people saying they needed to take the whole series back to formula because it was too overstuffed with empty content.

it was like, five or six years ago, i wanna say when AC valhalla came out, that a game map like this would have been called "ubislop trash" and "junk to fill up an open world" so i'm just kind of confused as to why this is raising the bar and good now

@DanielOehlmann Und das geht ja nur, weil ich überhaupt Teilzeit arbeite. Es gibt bestimmt viele Ehen, wo die Verteilung ähnlich ist, obwohl beide 40h arbeiten. Die haben dann einfach Pech gehabt oder wie? Das ist einfach eine Steuererhöhung für die Mitte, nichts anderes.

@Stefan53202737 @Lennyficate Ja, also, der Preis ergibt am Ende wohl leider Sinn. Dennoch ist es absurd, dass eine fünf Jahre alte Konsole 150€ mehr kostet als zum launch. GTA6: Ich gehe davon aus, dass es 60FPS - wenn überhaupt - nur auf ps5 pro geben wird, ja.

Das ist Realtalk nur noch lächerlich... selbst als Playstation Fanboy muss ich sagen, die PS5 schießt sich so dermaßen in die Irrelevanz und macht kaum Anstalten das irgendwie zu ändern, geschweige denn die dauernd steigenden Preise irgendwie zu rechtfertigen.

@winkelsdorf Wie üblich wird Kinderschutz gegen Persönlichkeitsrechte gespielt. Auch die öR Medien berichten 100% einseitig. Dass die Systeme auch für alles mögliche andere eingesetzt werden können, rückt beim Argumenten-Totschläger „CSAM“ halt schnell in den Hintergrund.
