to the extend that truth exists (that is, that observations can be made that cannot be contradicted), every observation one internalizes serves a purpose, and is discarded when it fails to do so, this is one's first empiricism

@eurydicelives "terminal value as an instrument" is maybe shady as a construct, but i think of it more as leaf nodes. social satisfaction and truth are both leaf nodes on a group philosophy, they affect each other but do not precisely depend on each other

@prodigygrimes @vividvoid sorry, that was a thought fragment, i was trying to describe the part of my experience that feels similar, in that both seeing gender as empty and playing the masc role require double speak in very liberal spaces, and they entwine

I'm not sure what you're saying here, but I am not a trans woman and never have been (this lifetime at least).I am a former trans man who eventually came to see the emptiness of gender, along with all other concepts, and have accepted that my dharma for this lifetime is to have the body of, and thus be perceived as, a woman.

In both blue and red cultures, men clearly feel a gendered responsibility to women, in different ways. Red tribe women also express this, the other way. But liberal women, apparently, now consider responsibility to men to be taboo, and judge each other very harshly for it.
