A saturated market is rarely a bad sign. It proves demand already exists. You don't need to capture the entire market, you just need to win over a small fraction of people who already need the solution you're building. Currently doing the same with YapapaForms!

@Layton_Gott Indeed, they are literally trying to scale the deployment level down, with 4.8 seeing a meh-level improvement compared to 4.7.

My prediction on Mythos: When it drops, the public WON'T get the best one. We'll get a slightly scaled back version, and the full power Mythos stays locked to help secure big organizations. The stated reason will be safety, and honestly that part is fair. A model that capable in everyone's hands is a real risk. But the side effect is the same either way: big orgs get the actual frontier, the rest of us get the "safe" edition. That being said this will still be like nothing we've seen before.

I’ve been reading the recent news about Anthropic wanting to slow down AI development, and here’s what I believe: Anthropic isn’t asking everyone to stop building AI today. They want frontier labs to agree on a verifiable slowdown or pause if models begin improving themselves faster than humans can keep up. The latest update, Opus 4.8, isn’t exactly the update of the century. It’s just okay, and many people say it sucks. But releasing a new update was still part of the company’s strategy. Now, if we’re talking about Mythos, that’s another level. The company behind Claude is basically saying: install the brakes before we actually need them. Are they referring to AI models like Mythos? If that’s true, AI might become impossible to stop. Quantum computers are around the corner, and AI models are beginning to improve themselves. This could be the ultimate transition from science fiction to reality. Ai is cooking!
