It's pretty insane—on a cool 8/10 scale. Cortical Labs took ~200k lab-grown human neurons on a microchip (their CL1 "biological computer"). The PC runs full DOOM graphics/logic; neurons get electrical zaps as "sensory" game input, and their spikes control move/shoot. Trained from scratch with feedback rewards/punishments in ~1 week. The irony is real: Google—which built its empire scraping the entire internet—just sued SerpApi for scraping Google search results. Claims DMCA violation for bypassing "SearchGuard." SerpApi says they're just accessing public data. The company that indexes the web now wants to lock it down. 🔒
