@crownweber this is true . i stopped getting writers block after i said i need to put out a story every 3 months no exceptions

Writer's block is an overdetermined phenomenon—but I think this angle is clarifying, instead of merely seeing a vast reserve of would-be authors who are busy with work/children or who sit down to write and are immobilized by the beer/weed they think will help them.

A brilliant and almost unwritable history of the 2010s-2020s would be about people who, despite creative potential, whether situated on the left or right, have published very little because a censoring force inside them rejects where their mind goes when they put ideas on a page.

@plasticbagger My neighbour as a kid used to do those beautiful pisanki eggs and she knew I was artsy so would let me come over and make some with her for Easter. One of my fave childhood memories:)

think i finally figured out why everyone’s so miserable and exhausted lately. it’s because you guys are eager to paint eggs for Easter

@WhatHoARat that’s too long for a short story and the story is probably too complex and needs to be novel length . a short story should be in and out

@plasticbagger I've had stories take me several years to really figure out! Still tweaking one i started in 2021.

@plasticbagger My dad went to Catholic school through 8th, or maybe only 7th or 6th, but decades later, this school year, I really tuned into how the "pray for us" part of Catholic prayer is so great. I mean no matter where we come from, what we believe, or how lost our cause is, Pray for us.
