@saturdayult @chowitzer @nicholasrubingh Same, I was very lucky to find a shiny alpha Manectric and that’s the only shiny I encountered in 24 hours of playing. I got some shinies from this method but they’re sitting in a box. An “organic” shiny hits really different for me lol

@chowitzer @nicholasrubingh only if you're going out of your way to farm them. mareep quest aside i've only encountered one other shiny in 15 hours of running around nonstop and i was jazzed af even tho it was just a weedle

Ok maybe the AFK shiny hunting method is a little too good

I ended up picking up a total of 30 cards by visiting various shops and Pokémon Centers. I gave most of them away to my friends who aren’t able to travel. If you’re in Japan, don’t miss this! These shinies will *never* be given away ever again

@moon__vixen @JoeMerrick @SerebiiNet I’m with you. I’ve been doing daily visits all around Shibuya and Shinjuku every day just to get enough codes for my friends. If not for Tokyo Game Show happening at the same time I’d likely have missed the shiny event

@JoeMerrick @robokick @SerebiiNet I just don't get how they thought this was a good idea tho. the fact that it's in so few countries and so limited when they know these issues exist as it is is just insane. no one should feel like they have to resort to getting clones from Blaines or Nora just to get shiny bikes.

@moon__vixen @JoeMerrick @SerebiiNet I went three days in a row to Pokémon Center in Shibuya (multiple times per day) and they always had codes, so that place is my number one recommended spot. A few Bic Camera shops were sold out early in the day, but Pokémon Store always have them. I hope they can find it there.

@JoeMerrick @SerebiiNet not according to her boots on the ground experience (終了しました means ended) but I'll let her know. I also have a friend in Australia who's local EB claims they're expecting a restock, so maybe. but as far as I've seen it's still a shitshow everywhere that isn't France/Spain.

@SerebiiNet For those questioning why this isn't being used to "fix" the Koraidon/Miraidon fiasco;The situation is only happening in the US. In Japan/South Korea, codes are well stocked and restocked frequently. In France/Spain they're printed on receipts
