GIANT e-ink display LIVE in my house and actively removing the “mental load” of motherhood 😅 Turns out my household chaos just needed to be tamed by a display my team of @openclaw and @NousResearch Hermes agents manage for me 💅

@jessegenet @openclaw @NousResearch Fellow e-ink enjoyer here. I've been running code created by @akz_dev on a 13" color e-ink display for the past year, and recently vibe coded a hybrid weather/calendar. Combines practicality with aesthetics in a way everyone appreciates.

Dario is wrong. He knows absolutely nothing about the effects of technological revolutions on the labor market. Don't listen to him, Sam, Yoshua, Geoff, or me on this topic. Listen to economists who have spent their career studying this, like @Ph_Aghion , @erikbryn , @DAcemogluMIT , @amcafee , @davidautor

It's clearer when you view having bitcoins as "possessing" it rather than "owning" it. You possess the private keys. Someone else can possess them too, at the same time.

When I have a typo, I don't meticulously correct it as much as I used to. Weird how that works.

@jorgemanru Interesting. I haven't tried this. I've been using @rjs shape skill so by the time the agent works on it, what is worked on is in pretty good... shape. But yeah, if it's a spike, I probably will just stuff the controllers

1. Start by putting everything in the controller and view helpers, and make it work. 2. Decide what interface you want at the system boundaries, then shape the domain to satisfy it. 3. Extract and refine until the controllers are thin and readable, and the domain entities make sense. Claude consistently nails (1). (2) and (3) still take a lot of human judgment and intervention. You can blame its guidelines to save tokens (aka save thinking), but you can't deny the fact that fat controllers and messy domains are probably the basis of its training.

@rtayag I would except, I hear it's napakasarap but ... I'm vegetarian 🦐😹 Fortunately, there are so many other things and adaptations here that I can eat - I had no idea - PH food (and quality!) is amazing!

There probably a little bit too much of us adjusting to AI rather than adjusting AI to do what we want.

@MacroTides @btcmoneyfury @noackdom @EliNagar Since you mentioned LN being custodial I was wondering what you thought of fiat. Can you help me understand what you're driving at? Doesn't sound like it's about custody. Is it elasticity of the unit of money that's important to you?

Not really, bank reserves on Fedwire are elastic, they can expand to meet liquidity demand. BTC base layer can’t. BTC-backed money is just an improved version (more transparency, which is NOT always desired btw + easier custody/transfer) of gold-backed money, which is a failed experiment (it can’t absorb shocks, that’s why it was abandoned).

Sure, bitcoin is dead. Over 731,000 BTC (~$51.9 billion) moved across 572,454 transactions in 144 blocks, settled in 24 hours. For context, Visa processes ~$41B/day.

Medieval kings had less power than Presidents and Prime Ministers hold today. The idea of a government that takes 40% in taxes - with control over commerce, agriculture, finance, war, education - would seem tyrannical and impious to them.

All I hear from Stripe is stablecoin this that Very interesting but as a business I don't care I just want a payment card I can use to pay my server bills WITH the money from my customers that's inside Stripe Why do I have to take it out of Stripe as a payout at all? Why does it need to go to Wise who takes a cut and then I pay Hetzner for my server bill? Why not Stripe balance to Hetzner bill? And if you build that out long enough you can remove the expensive intermediary of payment cards (Visa/MC) too
@levelsio@levelsio

Like the logical step is for @Stripe to be not just a payment service but an actual fintech I have no idea why they're not doing that It makes logical sense my business bank account (Wise) is ALSO the place I accept payments from my startup's customers with a checkout page integrated into my site (Stripe) Stripe isn't offering cards or bank accounts (yes they keep announcing it but where is my Stripe card or bank account then) Wise isn't offering proper checkout pages for my customers Others like Airwallex are starting to offer both
