NYT: President Trump has championed the U.S. steel industry, promising to strengthen it and to impose stiff tariffs on foreign metals to shield manufacturers from overseas competitors.
Yet the White House has secured tens of millions of dollars worth of donated foreign steel for Mr. Trump’s $400 million ballroom project, according to two people familiar with the plans

@dwayne_bohac @MarkMeadows and that he achieved regime change, but far from clear that's true other than killing some guys none of us will miss

@dwayne_bohac @MarkMeadows he also said Hormuz wasn't our problem, but apparently that's not true

A lot of pearl clutching from the usual suspects online and on the cable news panels about “ending civilization.”
Take a breath. Let’s do some critical thinking and pretend like we actually know how President Trump communicates. Should he be taken literally? Like you really believe he’s going to vaporize the Persian population? Really? Have you been paying attention the last 11 years?
President Trump speaks in terms of POWER, which is the only language our adversaries understand. Carefully worded diplomatic statements make the UN feel nice and cozy but also don’t get anything done.
Pay attention to his actions. And so far the actions have left the Iranian military in shambles, their ballistic mission program nearly gone, and their nuclear program nearly destroyed.
The President is rightfully prioritizing the need for overwhelming force in order to open the Straits of Hormuz. That’s it. That’s the action we can expect.

Undoing the damage of chronic underinvestment in the national defense is a multi-year proposition and I welcome the President’s request for significant growth in annual appropriations for the U.S. armed forces.

Great to see more public shoreline access and recreation but seems quite a shame not to incorporate some amount of housing on this prime urban property near multiple transportation corridors and job centers sfgate.com/sports/article…

🚜 Curious how American farmers are benefiting right now — or exactly how much each state has saved?

@VP How about you start with your boss. "Across both of his terms, President Trump has granted clemency to more than 70 allies, donors and others convicted in fraud cases." nytimes.com/2026/03/19/us/…

@jyarow auto companies weren't the only ones to throw in the towel on EVs

Perfect timing for all the American car companies that bascially threw in the towel on EVs.

WOW. Just in the last two weeks, BYD showrooms around the world are seeing a surge in customer demand from people who are deciding that now is the time to switch to EVS, with oil prices so high. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
