Last weekend we went to Kasauli for a short trip.We got petrol filled just before Chandigarh. Our Defender was sailing smooth. But suddenly after we got petrol filled, the SUV started stopping very few metres. We literally managed to reach Kasauli in 10 hours as there was no mechanic who know about the car
When we returned we were told by car dealer that fuel tank got affected by the petrol. Luckily we had extended warranty. But now wonder what do iI do with Defender, which I bought for 1.3 crores.
Some one's son is making money at the cost of lacs of Indians. This mixing of ethanol is completely unlawful. Wonder why opposition is not raising the issue

Ethanol blending in petrol is not some Indian experiment. It is a scientifically proven global standard followed by the major economies for decades.
It is not “poison” for your car engine nor is it adulteration.
It is smart energy policy. In FY 2025-26 alone, India saved nearly ₹1.85 lakh crore in foreign exchange, replaced 302 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil imports, and channelled more than ₹1.58 lakh crore in the agriculture economy.
These are not estimates. These are hard numbers.
Government is not forcing ethanol-blended in to your car’s throttle. 100 octane petrol (ethanol-free, high-performance) already exists and is sold by public sector oil companies.
No one is stopping anyone from buying it.
The real problem is this: 100 octane petrol is missing from the overwhelming majority of petrol pumps across the country. That is why the debate feels forced.
If the government ensures that every single petrol pump in India stocks both E20 blended petrol and 100 octane petrol side by side, the entire manufactured controversy around “flex fuel” and “no choice” collapses overnight. Consumers will then genuinely exercise their freedom, some will pick blended fuel for the national interest and lower effective cost, others will pick 100 octane for whatever personal reason they have. No coercion. Pure choice.
The solution is not to scrap a policy that has already saved the country nearly two lakh crore rupees. The solution is to give people real options at every pump.
For those, agitating against this policy. Stop the selective outrage. Demand availability 100 octane petrol.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, he says, "Somebody is saying that fuel mileage is going to drop. It is now well established that ethanol is even used in racing cars. Acceleration improves. What is that called? Knocking? Knocking also improves. Mileage? Yes, it may drop a little. But it may drop slightly due to various factors... Secondly, after consulting all stakeholders, including SIAM and ARAI, we have reached this stage. Then someone says, 'Your insurance will no longer cover this'. Insurance companies have already clarified that there is no such issue. But who benefits from spreading this false narrative? I am not going to make any accusations, but one thing should be very clear. There is enough space in India's growing consumer market for all technologies to coexist. There is room for electric vehicles, biofuel blended vehicles, and we are currently only at 20 per cent ethanol blending. If we move from 20 per cent to 25 per cent, it will happen only after all the necessary tests have been completed. There is also enough space for hybrid vehicles and CNG vehicles..."

Govt likely to bring National Citizen Card
If sources are to be believed, the Govt is reportedly considering proposal of a National Citizen Card to end the citizenship controversy. Sources said if all goes well the govt may bring a bill in the coming Monsoon session. A budget provision has reportedly been made for the purpose.

We tried this with Rajiv Gandhi and Dr.MMS. Former was terrible and latter presided over a shambolic govt only masked by a period of intense global growth that allowed him to be in power for more than term.
Across 60 years of INC rule you jokers couldn't provide basic amenities like potable water, electricity and sanitation to most of the country. By the time you were thrown out you left the banking system and state finances in a unmitigated mess.
So, yeah, forgive us for not giving two hoots about this dumb opinion.

The elephant in the room: We need a smart, educated, English speaking, well read, tech savvy politician who has his heart in the right place. A visionary, a dreamer, a doer. A secular democrat.
