I dont think that would be smart....at least some if not all of the 2027 season will be lost to CBA strike...DFA him now you owe him 15 mil strike or not... sit on him and wait to see how the CBA plays out and figure out what is owed or not owed as part of the CBA negotiations...and cut him after an agreement is made could save them money and still keep him out of the locker room...
