I am not a gray market guy. I’m a affordable GLP1s for working class people guy. I don’t care how that happens. Personally I think it should be government subsidized. If we could cure obesity in this country, imagine how many positive follow along effects it would have.

@DrVexis @tbpn @MartinShkreli 99.6% actually for my last test No one on the gray markets would accept anything less than 99% on their tests for starters. If you’d like to learn what is in a lyophilized powder, I urge you to research it.

@whyfcfc @tbpn @MartinShkreli These third party tests aren’t enough. So you learn that something is 94% pure. Great, what exactly is the other 6%? People are brushing this off like total imbeciles. Using random retatrutide instead of brand name tirzepatide when you can afford both is insane.

.@MartinShkreli says taking retatrutide is the "worst risk-reward decision you could possibly make": "The people that are taking peptides, and have these 'peptide stacks,' are mostly people in SF, maybe in NY. They're very wealthy people. They don't know what the rest of the world looks like." "Nobody else in Middle America is excited to do this. It's not normal to inject yourself with things. This isn't a thing everyone should be doing." "What is your upside to taking illegally manufactured retatrutide — you can't verify it, etc. — versus just taking Ozempic?"

@wikipetedia @tbpn @MartinShkreli Janoshik and other labs all employee the same analytical techniques such as HPLC and MS/LC-MS to confirm the molecular weight, identity of the peptide, identify contaminants, mass and so on. It's a known amino acid sequence... It's not a guessing game.

@doctacoe @paulb3rd The popular peptides people are ordering from US/EU-based sites are coming from China as kits and just marked up. No one is ordering BPC157, TB500, GHK-CU and all those other peptides from Bachem lol...

There’s talk about unsafe grey market peptides. I curious to know from real medical providers on the front line. Are you seeing emergency rooms being overrun with people overdosing on them? Are there a ton of dangerous reactions we haven’t heard about? Any deaths?

@DrJesseMorse @paulb3rd Fairly active in the space. The amount of endotoxin test results i've seen come back as a fail out of 100s and 100s submitted by 3p users can be counted on one hand.

@paulb3rd I’ve had patients with multiple types of systemic reactions from non-prescribed peptides. Likely from endotoxins is my guess. Enough for them to stop and seek out a doctor that has access to prescription only peptides

A popular vendor's 15mg Retatrutide were turning cloudy due to residual TFA salts left over during the manufacturing process. Many of the people received this batch earlier in the week. Issued refund with-in 24 hours, new batch currently on the way and all customers get a credit towards their next order. All initiated by the vendor in question. Just admit you're not in the space and that you have no idea what you're talking about instead of baiting for low levels of engagement.

@czapa1234 @whyfcfc @tbpn @MartinShkreli If you interpret "can't verify what you're taking" as "this isn't FDA approved yet" instead of "the origin source and API aren't rigorous", you're not a serious person capable of serious discussions about this topic, and you should probably just do something else with your time.

Some brotherhoods are built on shared dreams. For the Boozer family, it started with saving a life. When Carmani Boozer, the son of Carlos Boozer, was born with Sickle Cell Disease, the best chance to treat it was a stem cell transplant using umbilical cord blood from a perfectly matched sibling. But both parents carried the sickle cell gene, making that path incredibly complicated. So the family took an extraordinary step. Through In Vitro Fertilization screening, 34 egg cells were harvested from CeCe Boozer. Ten became fertilized sickle-cell-free embryos, and only two were a perfect match. Those two embryos became Cameron and Cayden Boozer. Years later, Carmani is coming off a season playing baseball at the University of Fort Lauderdale. Meanwhile, the twins are expected to follow the same path as their father, with the NBA calling next.

This isn’t a terrible take, just incorrectly delivered. I’ll fix it … “Research grade peptides” are basically Covid Vaccine 2.0 logic. You’re injecting mystery liquid (that you had to mix yourself) into your body that you bought off a sketchy website. It was probably cooked up in a Chinese bathtub by an 8 year old. “But it has a certificate of purity!!”
Yeah, and I can print a Harvard diploma too. For good measure let me also print out a Stanford law Degree and hang that on my Wall. If it’s not prescribed by a doctor and filled by a legit U.S. compounding pharmacy,
you’re out of your mind injecting it into your body. PS: I’ve done it before. I just got smarter about it and don’t do it anymore.
Ed@TheEdPill

Basically peptides are the Covid vaccine 2.0 Take note of who’s using them now So they can’t say they didn’t later

@MartinShkreli @Michael_Druggan In the case of certain peptides like BPC157, who would stand to profit from investing millions to a clinical trial if they cant “own” it? Is t this why some pharmaceutical companies don’t bother touching certain things, because there’s no profit to be made? (Come back to OT)

Statins allow us to live longer. Living longer comes with natural consequences such as diseases showing up like cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s etc. He’s trying to say statins are directly responsible for the development of these diseases when it’s simply the years added to our life by statins along with genetic predisposition and so on, not the medication itself that’s responsible for said disease. Tl;dr: your uncle is an idiot and doesn’t understand that correlation doesn’t imply causation.

@MaestroMike5 @cremieuxrecueil Right, perhaps, but if the effect was that obvious you’d see more of it in the research. And the uncle in question has no medical knowledge or statistical training, he is getting misinformation from a “renegade doctor” who lost his license.

This is good! More people should be on statins. They are basically a wonder-drug. They have very few side effects and almost no serious ones, and they deliver huge reductions in cardiovascular risk and extension in lifespans, for $2 to $10 per month.
