Warning to all parents never fly @SouthwestAir. I just checked in online for our flight home tomorrow and our five year-old is sitting in a row by himself. The agent on the phone refused to move him. He told me I could try to ask them to fix it at the airport, but no guarantees.

I am a parent that flies Southwest religiously and have complained some through this transition, but I would never book a reservation for my family without knowing we are together. Take some responsibility. If you need to pay for that option, so be it. If you don’t want to do that, choose a different airline. Waiting until the day of and blaming the airline or even worse, the gate agent or flight attendant, just stay home.

@natetepp @SouthwestAir Hey Nate, why did you buy the cheap ass tickets then? So you’re trying to buy the cheapest tickets and then force Southwest to change their policy so you can sit with your kids, but if you just paid the right amount you would be able to pick your own seats.
