@ABC How come the Western media practically moved on from the Venezuelan operation?
Wasn't this war, like the one in Iran, unwinnable, destined to cause regional instability, and economic disruption?

In 1960s, as the world cracked open with protest and possibility, the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of California quietly began their own revolution.
They had entered religious life under strict rules—heavy habits, rigid schedules, obedience without question. But the reforms of Second Vatican Council invited orders to reexamine their purpose. The IHM sisters took that invitation seriously. They believed their calling was not silence, but service. Not isolation, but engagement.
They marched in Selma in 1965. They trained teachers in racial sensitivity. They educated Black students in Los Angeles at a time when segregation and discrimination were still woven into daily life. In their classrooms, faith meant confronting injustice.
Their leader, Anita Caspary, was calm but unyielding. When Cardinal James Francis McIntyre issued a 1968 ultimatum demanding a return to traditional habits, cloistered living, and tighter control, the sisters faced a brutal choice: obedience or conscience.
In 1969, 326 of them chose conscience.. ..
They left canonical religious life rather than surrender their reforms, forming an independent lay community dedicated to education, justice, and spiritual growth. It was one of the largest departures of women religious in American history. The decision is chronicled in the documentary Rebel Hearts—but for the women who lived it, it wasn’t rebellion for rebellion’s sake. It was integrity.
Artists like Corita Kent turned pop art into prayer and protest, blending scripture with anti-war slogans and civil rights demands. Their classrooms became laboratories of creativity. Their convent became a site of resistance.
They were told holiness required silence. They answered with action.

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic.
