@PackersNotes They could easily sign any vet rb for low cost if needed. I wonder if they wait until otas/training camp and see how room looks before exploring vet market.

Depth behind aging Josh Jacobs would be fine if MarShawn Lloyd could go more than 3 practices without getting hurt. But since he hasn't shown the ability to do that for the past 2 years, it's important for Brian Gutekunst to add a legit RB2 before the start of the regular season.

As to how your team did in the NFL Draft, no one will really know until about 2028. The real question is "Do you trust your team's scouting staff?" If you do, they found some gems. If you don't, well, they screwed it up once again.

@RiversStreamAir @PackersNotes 💯 It’s fun to get a point-in-time snapshot of how the draft may have gone for a particular team. I’m going into the season feeling good about the Packers' draft and the optimism that a good draft brings. I also understand a grade means nothing. Gotta enjoy the ride.

@PackersNotes And yet we go through this every season. There's nothing wrong with draft "grades". Literally EVERYONE knows it takes years to truly know. Rhetorical. Grades are simply an analyst's first and initial thoughts, which people want. The same reason people visit this page.

Only an imbecile would grade a draft the next day. We have no idea if any of these picks will be able to make an impact at the next level. The only thing you can definitively say about the past three days is that they made sense.

@JohnathanCakes @THR I'm definitely intrigued by this movie, though. I wish it was set within the Matt Reeves Batman universe. With that said, I'm really looking forward to the Crazy Quilt movie.

@PackersNotes Especially when he made a stink about their time being now. Why play for 2027 when you could use good players in 2026?

Brian Gutekunst said one of the things that appealed to him about Javon Hargrave was that he didn't affect the 2027 compensatory picks. I get that having extra picks in the middle rounds a year from now is appealing, but building the best team possible for 2026 is more appealing.

Donald Trump personally intervened to help Ticketmaster avoid a breakup • Live Nation donated $500K to Trump's inauguration fund • They also hired lobbyists with close ties to the Trump admin • Ticketmaster directors got caught bragging about 'robbing [fans] blind' • Trump previously claimed he would be tougher on bad behavior with ticketing and fees (via @WSJ)

Packers fans see the dudes at @PFF as clueless nerds when they give a Packers player a low grade and as scouting savants when they give a Packers player a high grade.

If healthy, Nate Hobbs will help some team this season as a slot corner. I'll never understand why GM Brian Gutekunst spent good money on Hobbs only to move him from his best position. It's like he never watch Hobbs' tape before handing him a $16M signing bonus.

@wendellfp Ha, right, I'm all for being open-minded and hopeful, but he's had his fair share of misses in the past. He’s human and prone to making mistakes like the rest of us.

Over the last few years, the Ravens, Bills and Packers have looked similar in that they’ve been consistently good, but come up short in the playoffs with complete rosters that lacked star power. All three have spent significant draft capital the last 9 months to change that.

@PackersNotes So far, the response has been underwhelming. Looks like most agree with you for once.
